Does anyone know anything about Shane Tregear? He is on our list to train and won the coaches award for Sandy last year. Sounds like he can snag a sausage roll or two from Bazza Beach road Sandy reports.

Anyone know about his size? speed? skill?

could he be worth putting on a rookie list or possible PSD pick up?

Shane is an extremely talented player.

He can play as a medium forward and is magical overhead. For his size he is unbelievable one on one. He strikes me as a cross between Steve Johnson will his freakish ability and the silk of Simon Black. Put a few years in the gym and a forward line with him and Watts could perform some serious magic.

Can play on ball or on a wing but is best suited in the forward line. His skills are very good on both sides of his body, this helps him to make goals out of nothing. Ive seen him play for years and i hope we give him the chance because hes got the pace, skills and agility to be a great player. I believe in the environment of an AFL club he could improve on his already freakish ability.

Francis Jackson (head recruiter of Richmond) said he had the best hand eye co-ordination he'd ever seen and a complete footballer but didn't have the body to make it, it also probably due to the fact at the time of his draft, he really didn't have football at his top priority until last year.

He is pure magic, if we used a late pick, or even a rookie draft selection i would be very pleased.

Wow Norm Smith Medallist and Brownlow Medallist - does he also look like a cross between Brad Pitt and George Clooney too?

For anyone that cares, he kicked 10 goals in 9 games for Sandy seniors in 2008.

Shane Tregear made his debut for Sandringham seniors early in the season against Frankston and played some impressive games as a clever forward flanker and in a forward pocket. He came from the Sandringham Dragons via Brighton Grammar (I wonder who else has those credentials  ?) and wore the number 19. He was injured during the year and played 9 games (10 goals). He's 180cm 68 kg and was born on 27 April 1988.

I thought it was a bit rich too. That good and at 20, is on the fringe of a VFL club!

180 cm is pretty small for an AFL player, but he's not exactly a dwarf. 68kg would be the worry. That is about as lightweight as you're likely to see on an AFL list.

I could give him a few kilos but I don't have any height to spare.

It was said at the mates of melbourne function that we will not be getting ANY recycled players.

68kg! he must be really skinny!

Anyone remeber how much Cam Hunter weighed when he joined?

I'm 176cm and at one point weighed about 65kgs, and at that point I was I was very, very skinny. A body that size would get utterly mauled at AFL level.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
