I know this should wait for tomorrow but trade week has been boring so I thought I would start this thread.

If both Prismall and Warnock are not traded and go to the PSD who do we take...

I know it probably won't happen as they can resign with their club (prismall) at least but at least it is a question?

I highly doubt that Prismall will resign, he wants more opportunity, I'd have to go with Warnock though just so theres no chance Carlton can end up with him...

Warnock! To answer your question. I dont want him though. I would rather pick up a young kid who missed out in the draft and give them the opportunity.

I think Prismall will be a Demon for Pick 35.

Geelong want draft picks. And we have a better 3rd round pick than the rest. Unless Essendon want too give them Pick 23 which is unlikely.

Prismal. Dont want someone in the Red and Blue who doesnt want to wear it.

Out of curiosity ( i hope this already hasnt been talked about) did anyone read in the Age today that Lonogan isnt happy at all with the 2 year deal they have offered?

Take the best available player. Prismall if fit would be the better of the two.

Essendon is more attractive for stability, but he would gladly don the Red & Blue for opportunity!

Yes I did read it! Lonergan a possibility for PSD if cannot come to terms. They have offered him 2 years. We should offer 3 years. I would'nt rule it out.

Would happily take it! Lonergan would take the best defender allowing Miller, Robbo, Silv to kick plently. Or visa versa!

So you're willing to trade away half the Melbourne team to get pick 4 so you can cling on to your beloved Vickery but won't take Warnock for nothing in the PSD. Interesting. 2.00 pm tomorrow can't come quick enough.

Lonergan is severely overrated if you ask me. Easy to look good with the delivery down at Geelong, I think he would get found out very quickly at Melbourne.

Lonergan might indeed take the best defender if he plays for Casey. One of Jack Dyer's good ordinary footballers. Plays very short for his 197cms.

I dont think hes overrated at all... didnt even know he was rated

Hes nothing special and I dont think anyone thinks that he is, he leads well from the goal square, is reasonable in a contest and is a more than reasonable set shot

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
