Okay, it's early, but lets have a think....

Green is out.

Davey is in.

Other changes? White? Frawley? Bode? Petterd?

Nathan Carroll is a WA boy, might like to play at home....

out Bruce (age 28)? That would leave Whelan (28) & Wheatley (26) as our only players over 26. I know we're blooding youth, looking to the future, but I think, especially with Green gone, Bruce is essential this Sunday.

Didn't you say you were going to make yourself scarce until the end of the season?

Stop being a dick, Y_M.

If Junior comes up it will have to be...

In - Davey, McDonald

Out - Bell, Green (inj)

Petterd to get the nod if Junior doesn't take his spot.

Need to get Jones out of the midfield this week. He is stale. I'd put him on the HFF and see if he can repeat his four goal effort in Brisbane.

B: C Johnson, Warnock, Whelan

HB: Bruce, Martin, Garland

C: Davey, McDonald, Whealtey

HF: Bate, Miller, Jones

F: Sylvia, Newton, Wonaeamirri

Foll: Jamar, Buckley, Valenti

Int: Bartram, Dunn, P Johnson, Morton

How did Petterd go last week? Did he impress?

I think I read somewhere (might have been Hannabal's observations) that Petterd's good work off half back was the main reason Sandy stayed competitive. I also read that his class was once again on display for all to see. Exciting to have him on the way back. Tie him up on a 3 year deal before those GC mugs come a-knockin.

No reason not to keep it simple.

Out: Green

In: Davey

I wouldn't be fussed to see Petterd come in either. I can see the merits in both selecting him and leaving him at Sandy. (Hrmm, that sentence doesn't really read very well...)

He cant, its in his veins.

It makes sense.

He's missed a lot of football. Id give him another week to get some confidence and play him in Melbourne the following week if form permits.

Yeah. If this week was in Melbourne, I'd put Petterd in. Don't know if you want to bugger his confidence by playing him straight up against a parochial Wanchor crowd.

Why Bell?

Already fought his way back into the team. Had 19 touches at 94%, 6 tackles and played pretty well on BJ

I don't think he will be a part of the MFC in the future, I would like to see Petterd given a run. Given those stats maybe I'm being a bit harsh but BJ isn't in the greatest of form anyway, and when I was at the match I didn't think Bell was playing particularly well.

bell got dropped, did his work and has come back and played a good game. why would he be dropped?

davey for green is obvious. if mcdonald is ready to come back he will probably get a run but given the way we have made players come through sandy this year, and given he has been out for 3 weeks now, it wouldnt surprise me if he has to have a run there too...

Fair enough then.

Out of interest, do you see Wheels as a part of our future? If so, for how long?

And what about Newton?

It is tough to give ins and outs for our team, they're all 12!!

I don't agree with putting a possible debutant as an emergency.

I say, make him be ready, then when he gets there, start him on

Your talking out of Uranus!;) , BJ is an all-aust who is not that out of form. He needs to be covered. Bell did a good job. 95% efficiency, deserves another game. That's what Bailey has asked his players, to go back to Sandy and learn their trade, come back in and set them a job. Just on Bell - how did Brad Johnson go? He had no influence.

How did Petterd go last week?

If you want to bring him in, and drop someone for an average game perhaps Wonaemirri or Newton. But not Bell.

Bell played a good game. I dont think his needed though, doesnt have the quality to be in the best 22 each week.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
