Happy with two years, I believe he is what we need now but his defensive style may be dated, his protégés Longmire and Lyon have been out coached recently with better sides. He is no God, just a one time premiership coach who bailed on the Swans. Maybe after three years a younger coach like Goodwin will be the answer.

At least Harold holds some principals, no matter how wacky some of them may be, he is clearly a decent person. I'm convinced the club was pleased to move Clarke on, too much ego, too high an injury risk, too much baggage, now he is someone else's high maintenance problem, we need to spend our time developing our good young players and game plan.

I suspect like most 27 year olds the realisation has come, Mitch needs an income to maintain his hipster lifestyle. Should the club chance it's arm again with an aging, injury prone, unfit Mitch suffering/recovering from depression?.................., nah, nope, not a chance in hell, but if Mitch does decide to play, on we should of course seek any form of compensation that is available.

Massive Fail. AFL paid Hunt $800,000 per annum over 5 years for 40 pretty ordinary games, doubt if he pulled one extra loser through the gate, 4 million may have been better spent elsewhere, spectacular example of AFL incompetence.

That's laughable, who is the President? an AFL appointee, small time business man from W.A trying to spread into Victoria, open up a store in Collins street to [censored] jumpers, overheads of about 300k p.a?, amalgamate with Melbourne University in our heartland, not to worry about logistics or facilities, those gems aside I can't recall the opportunity to cast a vote, even after owning a handful of memberships.

If I recall we were 4 points outside the 8 before 186, a poor decision by Stynes and McLardy, Bailey like Neeld were men of great dignity, and were failed by the clubs administration.

Big difference in the sporting culture between Victoria and NSW, only two teams in NSW, abysmal attendances, a large amount of tickets are actually handouts, Sheedy, Scully family, Israel Foollyou, arena built in the middle of nowhere, may as well set up an AFL reality cooking show, would have been more popular.

I see the thread as a good warning to all, doesn't matter who you are, there are plenty of sharks about who are willing to drain your funds.

Gary Ablett is rated 10, the doyen of midfielders, Jones would be about 3/10, the rest of our midfielders would be in the minus rating.

Todd Viney is a survivor, if anything, not sure why, last old boy standing. If I recall he has been a player, Development coach, Assistant coach, Senior coach, Recruiting Manager. I will leave it at that.

Terrible waste of resources, they should be spending time teaching the seniors how to kick, typical though.

A single common denominator with the good young AFL clubs, Port, Tigers and Dogs, they have not collected "Has Beens and Dead Beats", Yes some deft recruiting in Monfries, Maric and possibly Cramer. Chappy and Cross have been delisted by better clubs than us, so maybe we should just take the hard lesson rather than just continuing the same old mistakes every year.

We just wasted a complete drafting, on Pedersen, Dawes, Byrnes, Rodan and Gillies, set the club back another two years, if that is possible, wouldn't surprise me if they go for Chappy, Dids, Hunt, Jolly and Cross, anything is possible at the MFC.
