  1. The fund was designed to replace gambling income with a stable income stream, allowing the club to avoid reliance on AFL assistance during financial downturns, and the capital may not be spent.
  2. Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust chairman Sam Almaliki said once Melbourne “secure funding and are prepared to actually deliver the project”, they would need to enter into a lease agreement with the trust, who manage the precinct. “Their biggest sticking point isn’t about what is happening with the school or anybody – their biggest sticking point is that they haven’t been able to raise the funding needed to deliver this project,” Almaliki said. “The trust’s major interest in this project, whether it is Melbourne Football Club or anybody, is to see funding that improves facilities and community access to those facilities, including the two football ovals that would go in – because they would be made available for community use as well as the football club. That’s our interest in this. Sam made this statement last August, ongoing meetings between Brad and state government continue.. We have 15 mill in the bank. And are confident another 15 could be raised by donations. Leaving a 70 million black hole for the Government to fill. It would be a long shot in an election year, in my opinion. Just food for thought, A country fire truck is worth $840k, we could probably do with eighty of those, so yes gifting 70 million to a minor sporting club is a big deal.
  3. Phil Meggs CEO of the Caulfield trust has left the house. Contract not renewed. Big Phil has been attending meetings with Brad Green and Geoff Porze representing the MFC.
  4. We will or maybe be leasing an area from the Trust. The school and the racing club have nothing to do with our negotiations.
  5. Anybody heard a whisper about the proposed Caulfield Training facility.
  6. A very sobering assessment, surely Viney and Steele won’t be in there together. I would like to see Tommy Mac and May go forward with big Johno. Heath, Roo, Luka, Mihocheck, and Jefferson represent a Hail Mary at best.
  7. It’s fairly simple. Just be deceptive, build a Trojan horse that wouldn’t look out of place on a racetrack. The team jumps inside and pedals the mechanism across the track to training.
  8. Firstly there is no Board as such, elected by the share holders(members) In my view there a bunch of cobbers whom pass the baton around amongst themselves. If you don’t believe me try and stand for a vacancy. Caulfield is a bust, an idea first touted as. Social club venue in the 1980’s. If there was in reality any good news the board would be ramping up the rhetoric, but instead have gone to ground. I still don’t believe a Government on their knees financially are going to shell out 100 million plus to a very minor boutique football club with little popular support. There is also the moral argument, moving young men into a venue that promotes gambling, alcohol and the mistreatment of animals. I often wonder what Peter Jackson would think of us today.

The brute is not afraid of physical contact, that’s a big yes from me.
  11. Ivermectin is recommended by all types of wackos and cooked units.
  12. Time for Guerra to stand down, got no idea.
  13. The trust are obliged to support the community. Not donate precious land to a boutique football club, ain’t that the truth.
  14. Shafted by the board, great acting CEO, and we wouldn’t have had to bring someone in to teach him the job, outrageous. The club is a lessor place.
  15. What are the security concerns with the gambling and nobbling of horses. Massive,… race days, jump outs, trials, pokies, bar flies every where. Mt Scopus will be completely locked down, arm guarded. Amongst all this a few people are going to be walking around waving their footy flags. This is problematic, I say, and will take years to sort by all type of Government agencies.
  16. Better off sinking your money into Bitcoin than this calamity.
  17. Our wonderful board, hand picked by their mates, everyone else is excluded, couldn’t arrange a plate of sandwiches.
  18. It’s all stale news, I can guarantee that.
  19. I feel we should have appointed the appropriately qualified persona in the first place. I’m led to believe Perty is still on call with the Caulfield races fiasco as well. I thought Brad Green was doing a great job by the way and was fully invested and committed to the Presidency.
  20. Only hope we have is: Sign all members up to MRC. Call an extraordinary meeting. Take over Caulfield, Sandown and Mornington.
  21. It’s a no from me, had a couple of looks and doesn’t appear up to it.
  22. At least we don’t have to be worried about taking the new recruits on a tour of our facilities.
  23. It’s nearly Christmas, and I am still waiting to hear confirmation of our move from colourful racing identities.
  24. I find that hard to believe , would you believe two AGM’s and an announcement …
