POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
I donât think this has been addressed previouslyâŚ. I think itâs worthwhile that all the attendees that went to dinner at Entrecote return to the restaurant, wearing the same clothes, same table, same meals, but this time May punches Melksham at the stroke of midnight to reverse this bad juju that has followed ever since.

Whatâs happened to Max? Itâs clearly playing on his mind because he raised it on the Gus and Gawny Podcast, he took two contested marks today (a plus from previous weeks) but heâs not having any influence around the ground, was easily pushed off it today. petraccas body language looks terrible at the moment, playing for frees, throwing his hands up in the air. This year they have gone away from âeveryone gets a lick of the ice creamâ, guys are snapping ridiculous shots at goal, not centring it, our forward line has become very selfish. Fritsch out for the foreseeable future makes things even worse, i fee like we need to drop one of the rucks and have a second forward as the secondary ruck. bring on the saints I guessâŚâŚ cannot wait for all the effort and a solid 2 point win, kicking 22 behinds and 6 goalsâŚ

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
Go back and have a look at the goals, he wasnât individual beaten by Rohan, Geelong play for each other and create blocks and space for their fellow forwards to get good clean looks. Itâs called quality coaching and forward craft, something the Demons know sweet [censored] all about and havenât for 3 years. last night the deference was a team playing for their season and another that is preparing to play their best footy in the back half of the year (knock knock Simon it is the [censored] back half of the year)

The demons have been the media darlings for 2.5 years now, I think itâs great this team is starting to get some negative press. We arenât playing good football, we have so many deficiencies in our game, our core leaders (Gawn, Langers, Brayshaw, May, Lever) are all down on form. I watched us live against GC suns & Lions in QLD, our forward pressure is non existent, our midfield looks second to the ball, team connection isnât firing defensively which creatures scoring shots, weâre vulnerable down back currently. It doesnât look like weâre hungrier then the other teams (Lions, Bombers, Port all out hustled us. It only gets harder without Oliver and Petty unavailable, a positive is weâre sitting 4th and we arenât playing that well. we donât want to be playing our best footy in May but it will define our season if weâre poor. Massive 3 weeks, cannot wait to see how we respond.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Yartapuulti
We knew Marshall was an out, Dixon would most likely miss, but we thought our talls would be an advantage? đ¤Śââď¸. if Goodwin continues to play, two tall Ricks, two tall forwards and our midfield is as pedestrian as tonight, we will go no where this year. We need forward pressure for our defence to be a weapon. Collingwood will beat us by 50 with this game plan and team.

Iâve said it once and Iâll say it again, weâre too tall for modern day football, when our midfield gets a bath, our big blokes donât chase and tackle and we get cut open. need a smaller forward line, 1 x big forward, and a resting ruckmen deep forward then have 4 x quick smaller blokes. still reckon weâll win tonight, Midfield needs a bake from the coaches

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
GC Suns just waltzed the ball out of their defensive 50, I was sitting in the south eastern 50 and it looked so easy. we need to drop a tall and bring in Spargo or a small to help with forward 50 pressure. Youâre already a man down with Fritsch in there, Grundy/Gawn/Roo can rotate through there. I also noticed that Gawny isnât getting behind the ball to help out as much this year? I know our forward is a bit of a mess but him helping out behind the ball makes us look so much more settled defensively.

Just got home from the ground, was a cracking game live, we owned them at the start of each quarter and the suns in the end of each quarter. Agree with everyone, Petty needs to stay back, was ineffective forward. we arenât playing our best and still winning â GC canât play any better then that â 4 points â have a great night everyone, I need a scotch after that gameâŚ.

A mate is staying at the Sofitel in Broadbeach, the demons are staying their also, he was in the Spa with Viney, Van Rooyen and two other demons he didnât know đ¤Śââď¸ (bandwagon Lions supporter). Viney mentioned to him that the suns at home was the Demons hardest away game last year. They should be on ready to go!

Iâm heading down the M1 for the game, Iâm also taking my 7 year old to his first AFL game, I certainly hope weâre switch on at the first bounce, the game at the Gabba wasnât a great outing for Demons supporters (especially those that cracked the [censored] and left when the lights went outâŚâŚ)

NON-MFC: Rd 07 2023
Hahaha what?!? They lost by a point in a preliminary final. Theyâre the team to beat this year (as much as I hate to say it) theyâre the bench mark and had Melbourneâs measure for years. you need a quick, fit well drilled team to match them.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Are we going into games too tall? Brisbane and Essendon went into the game with 3-5 talls and ran in waves with smaller quicker players. can we continue to play Gawn, Grundy, Roo, May, Petty (forward) options BBB or TMac. tigers hunted us last night, brought the pressure and run which weâre currently struggling with.
