  1. mine is: 1. Brock McLean (a fair way ahead) 2. Paul Wheatley (like it or not, has had a great year) 3. Brad Green 4. Aussie 5. Raffle!!!!
  2. Great point, I like ur thinking..!! But, we'll finish last, not much doubt in that, WC have a game in hand, and will snatch another @ home soon! But Id be happy with Watts, great hands!!
  3. Shame were not gonna draft him then.. There is no way the club will pass on Naitanui, he'll bring ppl through the gates straight away!! Watts does look like a fantastic prospect though
  4. It's fantastic news!! Grimes was drafted as a ready made prospect, so it'll be great to finally see the kid play. He comes with some HUGE wraps, with a lot of clubs saying he would have been top 5 bar his recent injuries.
  5. I'd love to see Big Steff play, well deserved, a raelly exciting prospect, he's a big man with some speed and athleticism! There is no way Warnock would be dropped!! if Stef did come in, which he prob wont id say... Out: frawley/Jamar, Bode, Bartram In: Martin, Valenti, Buckley.. id be happy with that.. Frawley unlucky though!! thats why id say stef will be emerg.. UNLESS: Jamr makes way, but Id doubt it as PJ was so good up forward, however, Jamar should not play just 4 that!! So maybe Jamar out, PJ rests up forward..
  6. Same points as WCE eh?? nice to know you really do know your stuff!! Im not going to say I feel stupid or guilty hoping we get a win or 2! JESUS!! how many games of footy did u ever play??? not many obviously!!! Christ!! All im saying is I hope we put in a good show this week, and think we might be value at the bloody tote!! SIMPLE!!!! JEEEZ..
  7. Nice back-tracking there.. Just admit you were wrong.. Footy is as much mental than physical, more.. The point is, this group needs to know how to win, they need to taste it, yes play the kids, no one is saying not too, all im saying is, I never really want us to lose, that to me is not in me, thats all, its not a decision, i just cant do it.. Yeah, i hope we finish 16th, which we will, but id like to do it winning 3 or 4 games, and being competitive in the others, you want some sort of confidence in the playing group come next year!! We are guaranteed a top 2pick, 90% of pick 1.. Its not like im hoping we win 6 or 7 and shoot ourselves in the foot, cause that wont happen, no chance!!
  8. Of course it will, Thats the point! he'll play a utility role until he develops, 2 years, thats normal!
  9. Well ive actually been told from a mate hes now 194cm.. But, with 10-15 kgs to his frame, CHF is a real option, as he has a big motor, sure hands and acceleration!
  10. Exactly! Of course im aware of our situation, but winning is what footy is about, I could never, nor would I ever actually cheer for us to lose, no matter what, its just not in me, I always want to win.. If we get polaxed every week, it means no draft pick is going to help us!! Im not sure about the rest of you, but yeah, after we lose, knowing the situation eases the pain, however its not ever going to make me WANT US 2 lose, just not in my mental psyche to think that way!!
  11. I dont need to tell any1 whats wrong with that statement.. i know what you are saying, but there are better ways to articulate your point... A win is good for the club, no matter what.. We have the no1 pick sewn up mate, relax!!! I still wanna see us win, im sure you do 2, you need some postives to encourage progress.. we are a chance, and im hoping we win, what type of supporters try and make me feel bad about that, PATHETIC!!
  12. I actually feel like we are in with a good chance this week.. Bar the first quarter, we did ok up there, and I really sense a win is close.. If Colin Garland goes to Bradshaw, Warnock to Brown, there are a few other key Match-ups.. We need someone to play as a defensive forward on Joel Macdonald, he really gives them alot of drive and is a real link up player for them, Perhaps Dunn, who is a similiar size, can go with him.. unless he's sent to trapper..who clearly does not like being tagged, thats if he plays! Play PJ @ CHF, Miller out of the Square.. Who will go with Power and/or Black?? I feel Bartram should go with Power or Black, probably Black.. Leave Power to his devices.. Jamar/White really need to get back and plug the whole if were a chance.. Maybe Bruce could go with trapper.. The lions are a very physical side, so if we can run hard, absorb the pressure early, I think were a show! As for changes, I can only see maybe this: Out: Bode In: Morton But who knows..
  13. I hope he ends up a CHF!! He is too good a talent to end up a bits & pieces player.. Ben Casanelia said in pre-season he is a great KPP prospect, but who knows, he could become a genuine wingman..
  14. Its an interesting topic.. I mean just where should we play this kid, He's 6'3, quite quick, has a very good motor, but is literally as light as a feather. So where should we play him to best further his development?? I suppose it depends on what Bailey's plans for him are, is he and all out, silky out side mid-fielder, a rangy winger, a utility or perhaps as some have said in the media recently, a KPP prospect, once he adds some serious Kg's.. IMHO, I think he'll end up being an Embley type utility, but with more regular stints in the midfield.. He has good poise, not bad off the mark, and actually has good hands above his head, which is something we are seriously lacking. it may seem trivial, but its important the club plays this right, and I have every confidence they well. Im sure he will come back into the seniors after the break, which im happy with, he needed a break, especially with his body type. It'll be very intruiging to watch what happens with his development for the remainder of the year, and throughout next pre-season..!! One thing is certain though, Cale is going to be a player, and I cant wait till he starts tearing games apart, HOPEFULLY BY 2010!!! I really enjoy watching the way he moves, and with confidence, im sure his sometimes wayward foot skills will be perfected! With Jack Grimes due back soon, Maric getting fitter, Garland being Garland, Nate still with alot of improvement left in him, and the much maligned Frawley taking shape, PJ and Mclean becoming more consistent, Dunn finding a role, Martin showing promise down back, and Bater looking a real star, its the most exciting batch of kids weve had since early 90's.. Im genuinely excited about this crop, it could be really special.. Lets just see WHAT Cale ends up!
  15. Oh, your like the, BIG BOY are you..mr RHIno.. Big moderator man!! So im getting told off, is that it??? because I actually have an opinion, and have the knackers to actually put it out there? Your a joke! Seriously, who do u think you are, its MY OPINION, and since I added these MOCK DEALS im actually getting alot of validation from supporters of other clubs! I mean, Ive been a member of this bulletion board since 98, when it first started, in 1 form or another, and I rarely actually post, its not like im filling this place with junk every 5 mins, its quite the opposite.. Every1 is entitled to their opinion mate, and not all opinions are safe.. Sorry for trying to illustrate my point... Get over yourself, sit back, and maybe try and realise the true purpose of boards like thjese, its to share and articulate points of differance, not come down on anyone who actually has a bold idea.. you should be ashamed of yourself, its a message board, not a sect.. everyone needs to relax.. We all love this club, thats the main thing.. <_<
  16. Just got some of the guys ?@ SEn's thoughts on the green and Sylvia trades, all i asked was what they thought... And "I really like those especially the Jericho one, works well for both, good one that".. "The Green for Boyle does make a lot of sense, especially now I know Greens only turning 27, He raelly could use a change, Hawks seem perfect fit, Boyle could really straighten up dees, hawks could afford to deal him too.." So at least i did my research on these ones.. Hope they demonstrate my point better!! Remember, im not saying these will happen, just that IMO they would really benefit our list, and they are at least viable enough to make a little sense!
  17. My Votes: 6 - Matthew Bate 5 - Paul Johnson 4 - Matthew Warnock 3 - Lynden Dunn 2 - Brad Green 1 - Chris Johnson
  18. Thought he was really good today.. Possibly his best overall game, was given a job, stuck to it well.. Drop him.. no way, not now lord!! IMHO this weeks changes should really only be out: Bode, IN: Morton..
  19. Draft picks wont be easy to trade for, as the new teams come in.. We'd be hard pressed to trade any player for decent picks as they have now become so valuable.. Thats why our mid-picks will be rated higher, thus we can try and cash in on their value! Im not trying to predict trades!! thats not what this ideas! its an example of what we need: Key Forward, Pace!!
  20. CJ CAN be delisted.. Contract dont mean you cant be delisted.. Plus, "out of favour" does not mean you wont get a game.. it means they are not happy with your performance, as they feel you can do better, i mean seriously, Bruce is out of form, but he's still playing.. Mundy would be handy, thought that friday, looks good, but would need 2 lift.. Thorp from hawks would be ideal, but they rate him even higher than Crows rate Tippett, however the differance is they have alot of Key forward options so you never know..
  21. Well, he had a stellar 06.. Was a free running midfielder who kicked goals.. Robert Walls said he was out of favour earlier i the year, and that he would of been traded had the suitable deal come along.. Its also mentioned Brisbane were out of favour with him in the AFL prospectus.. So, yeah.. nice one mate..
  22. Damn straight! I still cant understand why after the dogs game he was brought back in.. Too small, slow, terrible hands.. Might look good at VFL level, but certainly not an AFL player!!
  23. Not saying it matters bud, Just making an observation..
  24. I really liked what I saw today... PJ began as a Lead up forward, before he had those injury probs at the Eagles.. He seems to have a really good motor, and if used the right way, could rally be a dangerous figure in the forward line, especially once he gets some support down there.. Hopefully we can afford the luxury of persisting with him up there, my only issue is whether its as a Miller-style lead up, or deep.. I suppose he can be used in both roles, depending on the opposition and who else is playing.. But, im pretty sure this is why he was recruited, and after today surely Bailey hill keep him there for a while.. Thoughts??
