Who would get a game at Geelong or Hawthorn?
Tolstoys Nudge replied to jabberwocky's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes they would, very well said, Warnock even would almost sneak in.. Garland, Rivers, Bruce, Green, Mclean, Davey get a game at hawks.. Mclean, Green and Garland to replace Taylor at the cats.. Davey in for Stokes/Varcoe.. Robertson for Lonergan -
Please NO!! I hat co-captains, defeats the whole prupose! Brock is the man, enough said..
-
NOthing but pipe dreams! Trade Davey? joke.. The JOnes deal looks good, wont happen though.. When will u leanr Bruce is on 2 much coin to be traded for a pick..
-
He has not signed..!! Talks have re-opened though, 3rd year performance based on the cards.. Demons have held firm, apparently Green has lowered the total $$ value.. We'll soon see, not done yet though..
-
He is eligible, and has some big raps from a couple of clubs, likely to go 35-45 apparently..
-
Very well said..
-
Bit harsh on Ray.. He's ok, and has alot of improvement in him.. I agree he's not a game braeker, yet, but he can break the lines, and they are the type of players that would help Bails' playing style.. But, id only want him if he came cheap.. But yes, he will return to WA.. so we wont have to worry..
-
Hmmm.. Bate and Green for 8th pick?? nah thanks.. Bate is pivotal to Bails' plan, and IMO a real big chance to take his game to another level.. Im still amazed at CC, how did he land this job? Why does no one seem to hold him accountable for our list, what a joke he is.. Anyway, to get pick 8, this year, with concessions coming in, very very tough..
-
Interesting you say that.. Expect news on him by next week, he may come cheaper than most would expect.. The no.1 in PSD makes things alot esaier, as the cats are almost forced to take a 3rd round pick or nothing.. Still alot to be done yet, he still hasnt gotten back to the club RE the offer..
-
For now.. I have a feeling there might be some kind of late-ish change.. Tough luck though, great player!
-
I suppose my mail in him was crap then? pfft..
-
I must admit, Warnock's management really do seem to be quite arrogant.. He is certainly being over valued at this stage.. I mean, yes, he looks a good prospect, but does have some level of risk, it all seems a bit too self provacting to me..
-
Not likely.. I like the sound of thomson or reilly, however i think Bell not quite enough, although all the mail is both are mildly interested! Bell for pick for a seconfd rounder just wont happen IMO..
-
I second this motion! Its quite silly...
-
Thats a strange comment.. We are 5 years Min away from a flag, alas our core will be the usual core for a flag winning side, 26-28..

Do u read??? I never once mentioned we were interested in ANY of those players, I would'nt want them either!!

Melbourne's Combined Brownlow Total
Tolstoys Nudge replied to Bates Mate's topic in Melbourne Demons
Its a real disgrace, especially when after the game Roos singled out his performance as his "worst ever".. What a crock!! He wrecked my main bet of the night, and i'll be forever angry!!! -
Thats fantastic.. But you are missing the point.. If its not true, what is the damn point?? What would any1 get out of it? why would I waste my time.. where is the motive? Like I said, last year I heard hardly anything other than the wells offer, thus, I didnt post anything.. Oh well, Think what u will..

The 1 Millionth Alternative Clash Jumper Poll
Tolstoys Nudge replied to titan_uranus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely LOVE IT! Lets pray it gets a go!! I do think thought Jimmy wants a demon themed jumper, but lets hope the new emblem is a demon, and this jumper can come to fruition, as its the best jumper by an absolute light year! -
Like last year? When I didnt hear anything much at all, thus, I DIDNT POST ANYTHING! Go on, check.. Im just putting out what I hear, not making any outlandish claims, and Im not saying those players are on their way to the dees, just that they may be on the move.. I guess I just dont understand the negativety, ppl like to know this stuff, this time of year is crazy, clubs offering deals left and right, and yes, 99.4% dont come to fruition, but its interesting none the less..

We are not interested in trading him, thats the curent line of thought..

Brad Green now appears set to be offered up as trade bait, with contract talks coming to a complete stand still this week.. That is the report out of the club today, according to numerous people at the club, and in the media. 1 highly regarded journalist from the Australian even going as far to say that the demons are considering 2 offers that have been put to them by fellow victorian clubs already. All I could get out of him was that the club showing the most interest was Essendon. It now appears more likely by the day that Green may just move on, as the club is refusing to extend their offer to a 3 year term. Although both parties are hopeful something can be worked it, time is of the essence, and the odds are now tilted towards Green departing. A club official yesterday told some reporters off the record that the role of captain was not part of any current negotiations by either party. Brent Prismall has now un-officially been offered a 2 year deal, with the option of a 3rd, pending performance, by the demons. The clubs comment on the matter has been simply "weve spoken to him yes, and he is currently weighing up his options".. Over 5-6 sources have re-affirmed that this offer is in place. One Geelong reporter went as far to tell me today the Prismall has agreed to terms, and is confident a deal will be done in principle by early next week. In other mumblings, Chris Johnson appears likely to be traded back to WA, with the Eagles seemingly showing the most interest, and Melbourne have placed a "not interested" sign above Jared Rivers' head, after receiving several inquiries regarding the Key defenders availibility. Melbourne are also still very hopeful of being able to land Fremantle big man Robert Warnock, believing that they have the ability to offer Fremantle the best offer for the Ruckman. Reports also suggest that Warnock has told Fremantle that he will only deal with Melbourne and the blues, leaving Carlton as his no.1 destination, and the tigers out in the cold. Disgruntled Hawk bigman Simon Taylor is believed to be another option for the club, with Taylor rumoured to of already asked to be moved on at seasons end. Ryan O'keefe, the Key Sydney stalwart, has been made the subject of a big play by the Western Bulldogs, its believed he has been offered a 4 year multi million $$$ deal, even larger than the one the dogs unsuccesfully offred Russel Robertson Last year, this time however, the mail is that they may have their man this time. Other players that may be looking for a new home are: Ashley Hansen, Brent Reilly, Farren Ray, Sam Butler, Leigh Fisher, Kane Tenace, Ed Barlow, Jason Davenport, Brad Fisher and Mitch Clarke. Thats all the latest mail as of 8pm, Nudge Out..

Well said mate, exactly the reasoning behind it IMO!
-
Agree with that first part, he's a gun, was playing ahead of Kelly & Wojac when he got injured, he has great disposal, is tough, does need to gain some pace and lateral movement though, the knee wont help there, but if drafted in PSD or traded for a lpick outside the top 20, id say good stuff.. A trade for a player would be hard 2 imagine!
