GAMEDAY: Rd 20 v Gold Coast Part 2
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Should of been a free against the Suns playing dropping ball cold in front of our goal. -
So the Lions can’t return to Brisbane but NRL can have their families fly in from Sydney and players can continually break the isolation rules of the bubble?

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Calls of season over are clown school. Season very much alive, we’re the Dogs brilliant last night? No not really, they out worked us and we’re smarter around the contest. They had smalls at the drop of the ball at a lot of marking contests where we didn’t. They were also able to move the ball to easily from our players guarding space opposed to guarding a player, missed set shots again a concern. We all know our mindset has been hit and miss but considering what’s happening this season at other clubs we’re still very much alive and a genuine chance to win the flag. -
POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs

Bont’s two goals came from the same set play (he sat of the pack got the handball receive ran a few steps and snapped on his left) which hurt not only scoreboard but the fact we didn’t learn. I didn’t think his goals were that dissimilar to Petracca’s goal. -
Start of rd I led the work tipping by 4. I took Pies over Carlton. My best mate said Blues would win and that Pies are tanking. I asked why, you’ve already got Daicos and you just beat the Tigers. His answer was to use less points. I honestly believe they had the better team going into last week yet seemingly went home at 3/4 time. Took Lions over Tigers, must of been only person not aware it was Reiwoldt’s 300th game. Still after being burnt by tigers four weeks running I jumped off, also thought Lions would have point to prove. Headed into this week with a 2 point lead. We have to have our tips in 2 days before first game, so I took Carlton, then McKay pulls out yesterday. I was seriously considering taking North before this but with things so close went back to the North/Hawks/Pies will tank from here on in theory…. Took it each way in a few multis, very interested to see how this plays out.

28 points is hardly putting a team away. We beat the Dogs by 28.

My Round 19 Preview and Prediction
Bombay Airconditioning replied to CHF's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dogs 4 losses : Dees - 1st, Cats 3rd on %, Swans 6th, Tigers injury ravaged 9th. Our losses have been between the ears. -
NSW announced over the weekend a hard lockdown on 3 LGA’S which include about 40 suburbs and 900,000 people also the halt of all construction work for 2 weeks. Essential worker got replaced with Emergency worker, that has to be quickly changed when they realised that a significant percentage of the people in the affected areas work in parts of the food supply chain.

Comical at best.

Great question, I attended a workplace on Monday last week which later had 3 confirmed cases. I woke up Thursday morning to a lengthy text message from NSW health, I am currently in a 12 day isolation because the Tuesday and Wednesday are considered to be days 1 & 2, days 1 & 2 while I’m still at work and was at a shopping centre potentially spreading the virus. Received a call from NSW health, my family and workmates have to return 1 negative test and they are free to roam around as per normal. They weren’t interested in anywhere I had been because my first test was also negative. My work was proactive and notified other work places I had a attended and my fellow work mates. This is why it will be so hard to reach 0 cases, that and the refusal to close international borders.

If the Eagles can’t beat the Crows with a place in the 8 on the line….

Why can’t these teams like North and Hawthorn just die, what happened to the good old days of teams tanking and you could make easy money as a punter….

Amazing what happens when we spot someone up. -
GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

My theory is we suffer from blockbuster mentality. There’s such a focus on games against top sides (which we’ve won all of them this season) that when we play against lower placed sides we’re not switched on and just go through the motions. -

My biggest concern at the moment is that SportsBet is currently down. -
Forgot all about the bye….??♂️??♂️

Cats have a tough draw also. Not wanting to temp fate but if top spot or even top two was sewn up after rd 22 would the club entertain resting players before the finals?
-
Lions have a dream run home and should most likely win their last 5.
-
Would ideally love to have a top 2 spot locked away before we play Cats in rd 23.

I think this game says more about Freo than it does Geelong.
-
I tipped hawks last week for two reasons. Firstly their last month of footy (wins over Swans and GWS with narrow loss to the Bombers) and secondly the game was in Tassie. And to think they dismantled by Freo…. There’s no place for expansion in this competition.
-
I went the same, thinking hopefully the upsets are behind us…. Libba rested by the dogs, are they temping fate? My Collingwood supporting mate thinks they will start tanking, I disagree.

West Coast have been my bogey side this year with regards to my tipping.
