Trengove was by no means ever quick. Apparently Watts has one of the fastest testing times so I don't pay too much attention to it. Edit: Typo

You have completely missed the point. The problem with Watts is and always has been his lack of intensity. It has nothing to do with skill, talent or experience. It's between the ears. Look at Greene and Cameron for GWS, in fact I started a thread about this topic a week ago on this exact point with Greene. I can think of only two occasions where I've seen Watts really attack a situation, fight and look ruthless to get the ball. Even last week he would kick the ball then just stand flat-footed. He can rack up all the loose possessions, but as we have seen with Morton that accounts for next to nothing.

Slower than McLean.

Jai Sheehan and Jack Fitzpatrick.
Straight Sets Simon replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
The concern I have with Fitzpatrick is the same that I have with McDonald in that they both have flawed kicking actions, in particular the ball drop. By having such a poor ball drop automatically reduces the probability that they will execute good skills. These two need to go back to basics and fix this otherwise they will stagnate like Bate has with his poor technique. -

Sheahan looked good, nice kicking action and as mentioned he looks to read the play pretty well. -
Brett Lovett.

Cook played in the Development League? Not good. -
He fumbles too much, he does the 90% but it's the last 10% that usually lets him down.

Demonland Poster of the Year 2012 ... Nominations
Straight Sets Simon replied to Range Rover's topic in General Discussion
I think it should be the Craig Cameron Award. He once contributed to this site and like most that post here, he had more misses than hits. -
James Sellar - good pickup

If he held his marks he'd be twice the player he is now. -
This is the key point.

It was only a matter of time before he got pulled up for this. I hate it. McKenzie needs to stop ducking his head too.

Jason Dunstall mentioned today when talking about Howe that he is one of only a few Melbourne players who attacks the ball at speed and without hesitation. When watching a Melbourne game recently with a casual football observer, they made the comment that Melbourne players just stand back and watch. It's embarrassing when young Greene in his first season can continually rack up possessions, at speed and with intent while seasoned Melbourne players choose to just watch. Watts was racking up the ball in the third quarter but he would often stand flat footed after taking a kick. On top of that, after taking a mark he got caught out because his initial reaction was to kick off a standing start near his opponent when he should have quickly ran backwards to give himself time and space to make the best decision. He is not on his own when it comes to this and Neeld mentioned it recently. It's the little things, often only a split second but they are so frustrating because to attack the ball and do the little things (such as running back from the mark) require little skill and no experience.

Passion Pit song referring to Colin Sylvia?
Straight Sets Simon replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I prefer their other song which goes: "Morton, why are you still skinny..." -
Devastated.

Does the rise of McDonald spell the end for Rivers?
Straight Sets Simon replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
McDonald has the ball drop of a five year old. Garland has E grade decision making. Rivers should be kept, he has stood up playing in the unfamiliar forward role and still reads the play as well as anyone. -

To the facility, not the team. -
But to go into the PSD they first have to go through the National Draft I think?

Brett Kirk is useless and just tries to talk spiritual rubbish to sound different.
