I made that video in 2009, originally it was just meant to be a highlights package of Liam Jurrah but I added in some other Melbourne moments as well and took Liam's name out of the title after he went to prison. I was overseas at the time and didn't get to see much of Melbourne so I relied on snippets of footage on YouTube and decided put them all together to music. The "Dog Days Are Over" is a reference to the song used in the video which was popular at the time and worked well with footage that was available. I didn't want Melksham, I have never rated him all that highly but he's here now so of course people like myself are going to (at least try to) support him.

Hawthorn getting Carlisle is good for football. Why? Because if Hawthorn can offer Essendon a better deal than St Kilda then they should have every right to trade him there. It's up to the Saints to improve the offer, this is how it should be.

No it's not. He is the kind of player worth persevering with. By "make or break" you are implying that he faces being delisted if he doesn't perform, if he gets delisted there would be 17 clubs waiting to pick him up as a delisted free agent.

The problem with the trade period is that clubs now approach players about joining them and not the club the player is currently with about discussing a deal.

People who question Kent remind me of the people who questioned Gawn early last year.

Without the draft and priority picks, Hawthorn wouldn't be where they are now. I really hate these threads, there seems to be about a dozen of them floating around here all written by people who don't understand the system at all.
