I've rarely seen a draftee likened to a current player actually turn out like that player.

My theory is we were looking for the wrong type of player, hence all the drafting mistakes.

With trading of future draft picks and this new points system, the lesson here is don't judge a trade until the trade period is over because you don't know what will happen next.

Bigger forwards: Dawes Pedersen Watts Frost Medium forwards: Garland Dunn Harmes Smaller forwards: Garlett JKH Kennedy Kent Petracca There's a few options there none are amazing but the one that intrigues me the most is Harmes after his marking against GWS.

Credit where it's due, he spoke very well on SEN this morning and seems like a genuinely likable guy.

Does anyone know of any analysis which shows historically on average the quality of player that each draft pick will produce? "Quality" is difficult to measure, therefore something along the likes of number of games played per draft pick could be a good start. It would be interesting to see given how we argue over what a player is worth compared to a draft pick.
