  1. On top of this, we kicked into the man on the mark twice against Port Adelaide (Brayshaw and Lewis from memory) which is completely unacceptable.
  2. Did anyone hear Jimmy Bartel talking about Petracca just stood still after taking a mark tonight? How the hell is this still happening?
  3. Needs more penetration in his kicking, prefer to see him hit targets 30 metres away than to go for the long options.

  5. Our first two draft picks last year were 29 (Spargo) and 31 (Fritsch) and both are already getting regular games in their first season. That's what I call good drafting.
  6. Because of a 17-year old rookie ruckman who hasn't played football for three years?
  7. That's the great thing with the Category B Rookies, we have to give up very little to get them.
  8. As if that's the reason... In all seriousness, he looked lost on the wings but since going into the guts he's back to his best. I was very skeptical, but he's had a fantastic month. His tackling is a highlight and by playing in the centre he's naturally getting the ball a lot more than he used to.
  9. Brayshaw can hit targets, his kicks are just often a bit loopy and lack penetration which the stats don’t show.
  10. "You're really good at footy, Jesse". "You're really good at footy too, Tom".
  11. Yes, he is more rounded but Petracca has more tricks. I'm still not sold on Brayshaw's kicking (I think he goes to his left foot too often) but the fact that he was able to get the ball so often was a huge tick for me.
  12. It was clear that he was abusing his position within the club to further his own media career. I’m surprised it took so long for him to get replaced.
  13. I notice that Tom Morris wasn’t on the latest Inside Melbourne podcast, did he get the flick? EDIT: Just saw the posts above about this.
  14. Excellent debut, love his fight and thirst for the contest. His goals were both excellent and very timely in the circumstances.
  15. This year he has been on the box, in previous years he was on the bench.
  16. 3% from a bank if lucky the way interest rates are now.
  17. The club can invest their money in lots of things, do you really need a list of everything that isn’t gambling?
  18. Oh I don't know, maybe any business that doesn't involve gambling.
  19. Just think of it as getting rid of Jack Watts. Short-term pain of losing a much-loved and skilled player for the long-term gain of ridding the club of a bad influence. There will no doubt be a revenue equivalent of Bayley Fritsch waiting in the wings.
  20. I would love the AFL and all sports to rid themselves of all gambling revenue and I appreciate that there is some hypocrisy here. However, in my mind there is a slight difference between sports betting and pokies. At least sports betting has some skill involved, whereas pokies are machines that a designed so that over a period of time the user is guaranteed to lose money. I'm not trying to defend sports betting (the over saturation of it makes my skin crawl) and I totally agree with your point, but pokies as a product offer its users no benefit at all.
  21. Please, what benefit to society do pokies bring?
  22. They've made profits the last two years from memory. There are other ways to make money other than gambling.
  23. Great news, if North Melbourne can do it then so can we. Really proud of the club for doing this.
