  1. It does explain why Judd, Franklin and Pendlebury were all so keen to come to Melbourne.
  2. Hogan is a two to four goal a game forward. The others are three to six goal a game forwards.
  3. It's time to finally beat North.
  4. His first half was the worst he's ever played, his second half was the best.
  5. We're St Kilda supporters jeering McCartin yesterday?
  6. Seven goals in the VFL is a great effort and you can't ask much more from any player. I just question whether or not McCartin can translate this to AFL level. It's a bit like Trengove getting 30 possessions in the VFL, he's clearly very good at that level but the way football is played in the AFL it doesn't necessarily mean he will do well at AFL level.
  7. There's some rubbish in there. Hopefully nothing from me.
  8. He makes our team 10% better instantly, not only because he is a good player but because he takes pressure off other players around him which allows them to play better. I love that Essendon fans were booing him, yet they will lay down the red carpet for Jame Hird to return to their club.
  9. It's a bit spooky that the number 1 and number 3 picks from that draft both have had concussion issues. Brayshaw is coming from a long way back.
  10. Again, we still don't get back behind the mark quick enough when in situations where we don't or can't play on from a mark. It is such a simple thing that can easily be fixed with a bit of coaching.
  11. If true, this is why I am forever thankful that St Kilda too McCartin. A rare oversight from the otherwise brilliant Jason Taylor.
  12. From every draft there probably is five players that become stars (2003 might be the exception here). This is why I love the Oliver selection so much, in years gone by we would have just taken Parish (who is no Toumpas), but wouldn't have been able to identify genuine freakish talent in Oliver who was outside the square.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turns out being a not much better than Chris Dawes (albeit a better mark).
  14. This is the thing, with top five draft picks you don't just want a "good" player, you need someone special like Petracca and Oliver already are (hopefully Brayshaw follows suit). I mentioned on here early in Toumpas' career that if that draft was done again I'd be surprised if he's get picked up at all, that is a monumental drafting mistake.
  15. If St Kilda wanted a key forward they should have selected Peter Wright.
  16. That handpass to vandenBerg right at the end is something else.
  17. As soon as I saw his highlights I wanted him, his body shape has changed slightly however!
  18. Look at their 2012 draft.
  19. I don't blame Gysberts, I blame Barry Prendergast for drafting him.
  20. Obviously Brad Scott wasn't much good for him either.
  21. Imagine if we had Aish and Toumpas in the same team. That would just about spell the end for me.
  22. If people here could pick one of Kelly, Bontempelli or Cripps, who would you take now? I'd go with Cripps.
  23. Tyson is good, but as Sheedy (allegedly) said, he's "not great". Cripps is probably the best of the three, thankfully we have Oliver who is the closest thing in the AFL to Cripps and those two will most likely be the best two midfielders in the AFL for a decade.
  24. Forget Kelly, if we had the pick we should have taken Bontempelli or Cripps. Sheedy isn't wrong about Tyson either.
