  1. Whateley isn't the moron here.
  2. Brayshaw can hit targets, his kicks are just often a bit loopy and lack penetration which the stats don’t show.
  3. "You're really good at footy, Jesse". "You're really good at footy too, Tom".
  4. Yes, he is more rounded but Petracca has more tricks. I'm still not sold on Brayshaw's kicking (I think he goes to his left foot too often) but the fact that he was able to get the ball so often was a huge tick for me.
  5. It was clear that he was abusing his position within the club to further his own media career. I’m surprised it took so long for him to get replaced.
  6. I notice that Tom Morris wasn’t on the latest Inside Melbourne podcast, did he get the flick? EDIT: Just saw the posts above about this.
  7. Excellent debut, love his fight and thirst for the contest. His goals were both excellent and very timely in the circumstances.
  8. This year he has been on the box, in previous years he was on the bench.
  9. 3% from a bank if lucky the way interest rates are now.
  10. The club can invest their money in lots of things, do you really need a list of everything that isn’t gambling?
  11. Oh I don't know, maybe any business that doesn't involve gambling.
  12. Just think of it as getting rid of Jack Watts. Short-term pain of losing a much-loved and skilled player for the long-term gain of ridding the club of a bad influence. There will no doubt be a revenue equivalent of Bayley Fritsch waiting in the wings.
  13. I would love the AFL and all sports to rid themselves of all gambling revenue and I appreciate that there is some hypocrisy here. However, in my mind there is a slight difference between sports betting and pokies. At least sports betting has some skill involved, whereas pokies are machines that a designed so that over a period of time the user is guaranteed to lose money. I'm not trying to defend sports betting (the over saturation of it makes my skin crawl) and I totally agree with your point, but pokies as a product offer its users no benefit at all.
  14. Please, what benefit to society do pokies bring?
  15. They've made profits the last two years from memory. There are other ways to make money other than gambling.
  16. Great news, if North Melbourne can do it then so can we. Really proud of the club for doing this.
  17. He tends to poke at the ball a bit, not a long and fluent kicking action.
  18. Your Twitter account has been hacked, change your password.
  19. His best ever game was his return game against St Kilda last year where his marking was a highlight. At the very least he could come in and play as a forward, he wouldn't be any worse than Bugg.
  20. The chase and tackle his highlight of the night, last week he didn't look like even thinking about laying a tackle. He still can't kick for goal further than about 35 metres out which a big concern. His kicking action just has no power to it.
  21. I'm grateful the club haven't wasted any time with your questions.
  22. Not quite right, but yes it is a lot of jumpers. Home (navy blue) Clash 1 (navy blue with red back) Clash 2 (royal blue) Anzac Day BCNA (assuming they are doing it this year) Indigenous 160 year
  23. Love the jumper but the names all over it ruin the design.
  24. Having the card sent out prompted me to sign back up straight away. I was always going to renew, this just made it easier especially with the JLT game coming up.
