We needed a player like Tyson at the time we got him, it’s just a shame he’s regressed so quickly. Salem has become a very good and important player for us.

GWS won't give up Kelly on top of Shiel and possibly Scully in the same year. They'd want Oliver and Petracca as starting point in return.

He's a star. -
An in-form Garlett is the exact player we need.
-
I'm very keen on the idea of us getting and using a top 5 pick in the draft (in addition to landing a player like May).

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again

I stopped reading here. -
He showed his worth this year, could have easily earned another year or two.
-
Just when I think I've seen it all from you.
-
I'll put my hand up here, I thought he was one of the worst recruits ever but was a valuable contributor for Collingwood all year.
-
That seems odd to me (unless he just genuinely couldn't make it) as I see not animosity with him leaving.
-
Your hatred for Jones insane.

2018 Player Reviews: # 47 Lachlan Filipovic

As @dazzledavey36 said, we really should have used that pick on Oscar McInerney who has looked solid for Brisbane and was ready-made having come through the VFL. -
I thought he was out of contract for some reason but I see he is actually contracted until 2019. I'd be surprised if another club wanted him.
-
I just assumed he was leaving.
-
I think it was the strong links back to Perth all the time that made me feel this way. I don't begrudge him at all, it isn't a criticism just something I have always felt.
-
I'm not just saying this because it looks very likely he will leave, but Hogan never really felt like a Melbourne player to me, does anyone else feel that way?
-
Unless Lever was considering going back into the the draft then this part is irrelevant.
-
If Simpson had a different team with different strengths he would have coached differently. Good coaches do this. It’s like when Melbourne brought in “run and carry” in 2007 because it was all the rage despite the fact our team was not suited to play that way.
-
That result eased the pain somewhat.
-
This just shows how bad we were last week.
-
I hope we are also seriously looking at trying to get Lachie Neale as part of the trade (along with a first round pick) as well as luring Tom Lynch as a free agent.
-
Anything less than a top 5 pick and a young gun like Brayshaw or Cerra will be a loss.
-
I’m unsure if I’ll watch the game. Reality of us losing and missing out hurts more one week on.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!

Garlett is exactly the player we needed this year as our forward line was awful when the ball hit the ground. It's just a shame he couldn't find any form at all. If Hogan is worth $1.2 million a year then Tom McDonald is worth $2 million a year.
