It was more along the lines of he is not the Messiah that the MFC supporters are painting him as, same as Roos, they didn't seem to like what he did in his last couple of years there, never really paid much attention to Bombers so I don't know what other skeletons are there (perceived) As I have stated before I will support whoever the incumbent person is
-
Hey Elwood, I am supposed to be a one eyed supporter of the Cub no matter what, I heard the same opinion of Jackson from at least 5 or 6 died in the wool Bombers fans, but haven't mentioned it, I always prefer to wait and see...............and Dazzle, sorry I tend to skip your posts, reread one of the early ones, can't I have an opinion on Hogan, you seem to have
-
On Hogan its too early to say. Hasn't played an AFL game yet even though he has showed real talent at VFL level the step up from that league to AFL level is HUGE. We did give up pick 3 for him which would have nabbed us Ollie Wines. Wines, Viney and Toumpas would have been a pretty handy onball unit as well..............AAAAAHHHHHH......you have watched him play live, yes or at training.......mate if he plays I reckon a Rising Star nomination in the first 5 rounds..

I think you are safe...it depends on whether WYL has taken his tablets today....and it doesn't mention *******Cam Schwab*******

Yes but only real men drink Irish whiskey....Jamesons is a bit too rough for some gentler souls

Wow........somebody dared disagree with you.........we need to get back in our boxes and put the lids down...............if you must wear a hair shirt feel free

I just find it all a bit pointless, but then again, a lot of what is posted on here is anyway

Sorry yes, that might be Riley and Kent who will not be ready to go, believe they have been using that fancy weight free treadmill though (the one we saw Clark on last year)... -

If the training threads weren't regularly derailed, perhaps what I said about the rehab group would be remembered. I asked a few players............the one's that have been consistent in the rehab group Blease (he needs to get fitness up, Roos says so) Dawes and Riley are coming back from knee surgery and broken leg respectively, Kent has a problem with his patella......others have been in and out of it, if they have the slightest niggle they are put into rehabl group, or if they are on a 'light' week they may work with rehab group as well................the plan is to have everybody training with main group in January, asssume this will be everybody except Riley...although he said he was on track and Roos repeated the same in his interview...bit concerned Fitzy has been missing for a couple of sessions and Jamar....Jack Grimes had his nose operated on that is why he was missing.....broken courtesy of Lynden Dunn at training (who else) -
I painfully know that now. Back on topic, think the Neeld bashing was old hat again in this topic, just good to see the training watchers have been seeing what Roos is saying, saw Riley being sent away the other week, tried to sneak a bit more outdoors in and wasn't allowed, the comments about Vince, Cross and Tyson.......and the best bit.....ok first year players, show me you want to be in the first team
-
Exactly what we are seeing at training, getting them used to the game style running Won't be at the last training session unfortunately, have done a fetlock....trying too hard when you are old....
-
......It could be in response to some of the MFC games last year, where the supporters were either sitting in dead silence with their heads in hands, or drinking to forget.....seriously the music is not that loud, although I agree some of the ground announcers I could live without...........

Let me think...fuddy and duddy are two words that spring to mind...

Come on guys we have all been watching it....Bailey loved footy players not athletes so we recruited footy players and coached them to play footy, when it clicked it was wonderful to watch, when we ran out of legs it was horrible.......Neeld comes in and hammers them trying to turn them into athletes and forgets how to play footy................that is why Peter Jackson moved heaven and earth to get Roos and the team he has assembled..............just watching training by the way, Brad Miller was an inspired choice, he is a natural coach -

A few of the players have commented that because the ball is in use and Roos explains what the drill is for in relation to game day beforehand, the gut running is meaningful, noticed on Monday same thing, if you are not participating in the drill, you run around the boundary..........Roos also has the senior players running with the buy in mantra, heard it from Cross, Frawley, Garland and N Jones...........I reckon if you play in a game and you don't run both ways this season, you will not play the next one -
Name 3 players you are keen to see in 2014 and why

Strange your view of Fitzy, the Season Rview of Casey says (paraphrase) "Fitzy started the season in excellent fashion" -

I asked him first up, he said (paraphrase) "it is the patella, it just won't settle down" so assume it hasn't changed much, seems to be doing a lot of off legs work, he is bigger, but seemed a little bit frustrated last time I saw him, so didn't ask again Riley is progressing and is exactly where they want him to be, about a couple of weeks away from running -

Tyson - big bodied and you can see in the bits of training why we got him, not sure, only so many we can fit in, which is good.........there is going to be real competition in there Michie - exactly the same, big bodied and looks really solid in his work JKH - love watching him, but size may go against him, still very small, though looks like he can handle himself, I don't think Roos plays small defender/forward, think he likes 2 key defenders, 2 key forwards and then everybody rotates in roles Evans (somebody else asked).....again how many can you squeeze into the midfield...has looked really solid in training and has put a bit of size on (again, the good thing is nobody is standing out, the Roos model) I am looking more at the NAB cup and if Roos' past is anything to go by, we will see 4 different midfield set ups -

Tyson has his knee heavily strapped as a precaution, probably more psychological than anything at the moment, I asked him a couple of weeks ago, his knee is feeling great, as soon as training is finished it comes off, he has no restriction in his movement that I can see in watching the drills -

...I take it you don't watch much footy then, he averaged 5 marks a game last year and seeing the ball was going in all directions into the fwd fifty, that's not too bad -

The reason Nicho is hitting his targets is there are some now, the one thing I have noticed from all the training drills I have watched is Roos wants 3 or 4 options and moving in waves, if you don't do, he stops the drill and hammers it home
