  1. Skiils appear miles better than early last week. I'm actually impressed so far. Some of the marking has been fantastic. Enjoying this contest.
  2. So, barely more than every single first round pick he made was a disaster? Yeah, fair enough, he was pretty good then.
  3. If the same thing happened today, Whelan would get 3 weeks, Hird would get a free and 50m, and essedon would get a priority pick in the draft.
  4. Words. Although it does sound like frenzied defence, followed by all out attack once in possession. Beats the stop/prop/go backwards of recent years. Lets see which Melbourne turns up, and how long it continues.
  5. I add my voice to the welcome Reeker. Wrecker was one of my all time favs.
  6. Hope it's better than the old plan of holding the ball up across half back waiting for the opposition to cover all options, before a 25m backwards kick to a man under pressure in front of goal, or a kick out of bounds on the full.
  7. These people are without doubt some of the slimiest creatures to ever be involved in our great game. I reckon its a deflection, and a deal has already been done to hand it back to the convicted drug cheat after the heat dies down.
  8. Um, what? I have heard the words "elite skills" thrown around throughout the entire broadcast. This is absolutely supposed to be the elite level for Women. The game will undoubtedly improve in time, but by god the "skills" on show have been horrendous. About the level of a country under 10's game. If that's true, it says to me that many of the attendees were there for novelty value, and nothing more. No it's not. The women involved will tell you it is about Women showing great skills on the big stage. They also need to generate big income, to warrant the already complained about calls for more money. Games that only have 5 or 6 goals total, are unlikely to do that. Soccer has that already.
  9. Steve Febey would get a game in todays team. Great player.
  10. I must have a faulty pizztake receptor. That aint Pedo.......Surely?
  11. Are you suggesting that the AFL up the monies paid, to support the ones too dumb too plan for their own future? Only kidding, I'm sure you are not. AFL shares similarities to politics. Many doors are opened by it.
  12. Huh? You don't sit on the grass for something that has the possibility of you earning less. They want a fixed percentage, because the AFL's income is exploding, and they want more, more, more. Head in sand.
  13. I always find this argument amusing. Just because they play AFL level football, doesn't mean they are banned from getting another job after they finish playing. If you are only good enough to be on a list for 3-4 years, why do you deserve "a lot to show for it"? A player strike is rhetoric. The public would hate them for it, knowing how much the salary cap is now.
  14. Yep, clubs like whoreforn go from the minor party in a proposed merger to league superpower, and we have a Lamington drive. Awesome.
  15. Sorry Saty, whats a craft day?
  16. Any chance someone could photoshop Stephen Hawking into a Dees guernsey?
  17. Looking at that group, and there are not many that would be sorely missed come rd1, except TMac/Tyson, and maybe Kent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Didn't know Terrance and Phillip were Demons fans......
  18. That's a much better summation than mine. It's what I was thinking, but not what I typed. Well done.
  19. Thanks Saty, but my worry with him is that being unable to spread at speed can make you a liability in today's play on at all costs game. Even if he can think fast enough to be an inside mid, he needs to be able to rotate through other spots to justify his place in the side. I also fear that many here have a very blinkered view of him, because of his history with the club, and as such refuse to see any limitations. I hope you are right, but I still fear the worst for him. I reckon we will know when we see him play his first competitive game.
  20. Can he move? What's his mobility and acceleration like?
  21. I have a feeling that you are one of the few who will have any credibility on this issue once the real stuff starts.
  22. That's where some of us differ Grape. The simple fact that he is such a weasel that he wants to keep a medal tainted by drug cheating, is enough reason for me to want the rage to continue.
  23. Not surprised by this. Mentally switched on teams dont check out in the final round with a 100+ point flogging. They fight every game to the end. Pleased Lewis is involved.
  24. Why? This is a discussion site, and he and his family are a worthy point of discussion. If no laws are being broken, why give the man a break of any kind? This website is not about to push him over the edge. I see no reason at all to close the thread. And Jab, ya drug cheat, hand back the bloody medal!!!
