A Day at the Races
I agree, but it seems that Shoals does just that, a lot. Even when fav seems to get a good price. I really like the horse and it can spread wings. Will have a little flutter at those odds for sure. Just went and visited the Eureka Center here in Ballarat. They have the original flag there, its quite awesome to see it. So big. Great museum, recommend.

Really like Widgee Turf @ 7.80 for the place or something. Sort of race youd love to see Winx in, but she would be carrying about 80kg.

Sku....the voice of reason. How dare you! (I hope Amsterdam is warming up!) Did they go over the Prelim? It was the last game of the season, so they would start their break pretty much then wouldnt they? A young team that played above themselves in 2 finals, were outmanned and ran out of petrol. There were not 80,000 Melbourne members supporting them. The team they beat there 3 weeks earlier had time to work them out and add missing personal. What is there to review really? Even if they did go over it, its some time before they got back to training and their strategic planning. Im sure the football dept noticed all the errors and hence one thing they did immediately was to try and recruit their way out of the problem, hence Steven May. Im sure everything that went wrong in that final, is now in the notebooks of the football dept. Also saying 4 games in a row is also a pretty long bow. Its 2. JLT games are just practice and the prelim was 6m ago. They dont count. Maybe some people just wont let that loss go. I personally still cant believe we got to a Prelim after losing to StKilda. Dont give up peoples, your all tougher than this.- PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon

To be honest i really think you learn more from your successes, rather than your mistakes. They just need to review what they were doing right, then compare it to whats what now perhaps. Thats my take anyway.- PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Still cant believe all the work that goes into this website. Where do you find the time? Ive looked at some of the other sites, Bomberblitz for example. The are just so bad, boring and drab and you can hardly even read them. Well done @Demonland- Monkey Business

Yeah im agreeing with that. An anchor leg (if there is such a thing) and a few slightly more exotic legs and the value is there. I had another strange one on the weekend. Had a 5 leg multi with our selections. The first leg Harlem was scratched and the multi was worth 49/1 (boosted). The subsequent 3 legs got up, going into a football match the next day. Ladbrocks had the pay out listed as 10/1? A quick mathematical calculation said, i still had 17/1. I figured they would slice out the boosted element, which they did, and Harlem of course. But that still left 4 good legs. I made an inquiry and young chap on the phone quickly did the same calculation and said he agreed. He rang his boss and came back with the other races had scratchings in them so the original (fixed) prices were no longer valid. One example was your pick at 4/1 was adjusted to about 2.40. In the end the footy leg (my anchor) was Hawthorn win. In the end i couldnt figure out which was worse, the scratchings or the 8 goals the doggies kicked in the last quarter to come back from 30 pts down at 3/4 time! So the lesson to be learnt is that the price on your multi ticket (where horses are involved) may not be the price you take home at the end of the day.- Monkey Business

- What to do with Petracca?
I pointed out a few months back at training he looked a few kgs over and was struggling to run. I dont know why that was. I was howled down for this observation of course by people that dont go to training and rely on a few happy snaps to assert their observations. Anyway. He didnt look confident then and still doesnt. Weve all seen him play a lot better. The answer my friend.... - Demonland Fact-Check
