Sadly for Gary, he has put in two really poor grand final appearances. Once is understandable, twice is deeply concerning.
  4. Will be packaged along with Tyson for a trade with GWS; Kelly to Dees. Awaiting confirmation from @Ethan Tremblay

  6. Yes, he did. Credit where credit is due.

Are they a member? If so, ask them when their master is next taking them out for a walk?
  9. Scary thought; without the white lines they’d be invincible - they’d be the All Blacks!
  10. The ‘au-pairs’ round?
  11. Wasn’t too sure about these jumpers when I saw them in the pre-game promotional photos, but thought they looked quite good from afar on game day.
  12. Neville Jetta, for his tenacity.

I think you're probably right there. Was at St.Kilda Vs Hawthorn Saturday night (guest) and was envious of the Hawthorn supporters' nonchalance / confidence (smugness?) that their team would overcome the challenge. Compare that to Sunday afternoon, where for long moments I'd forgotten to breathe!
  15. Underlines what a strong team effort it was last Sunday. That said, Gawn was a bit stiff to miss out.
  16. #freekickeagles giving #freekickhawthorn a run for its money.
  17. However, should he end up playing for a Perth based club, then every second week he’d be guaranteed plenty of goals.

  19. Pretty sure he's playing sore. Anyway, this thread's discussion may be better served by ignoring yesterday's horror show.
  20. I think Shiel is contracted until the end of 2019.
  21. Yes, we generally-speaking have an on-field leadership vacuum, that much I agree with. However, in this instance Lewis, made a very good decision. He set us up to have possession in a part of the ground where we had options to go down the line, middle, or switch. Sadly, Max and Angus got in each others way and stuffed it up.
  22. Now just wait a minute. This thread is based on a falsehood , it was much longer than a minute to go. When Lewis kicked that we were 8 points behind, with 4 minutes on the clock. He kicked it to near the 50 meter arc in the direction of the point of the centre square - a good place to attack from. Gawn and Brayshaw got in each others way and messed it up. Lewis took the right option and executed his kick well.

Because we lack leg-speed and polish.
  24. Whether you agree or disagree with the OP, this is a scenario that deserves discussion. I believe our squad lacks both the leg-speed and the polish to perform deep into September. How do we get it? Maybe, just maybe, we can snag Gaff as a RFA. Or a Hall type. Otherwise we're going to have to trade for the picks that can then be on-traded for ready-made players with the attributes we need to balance our list. Whose got currency? Hogan. You'd want a lot in return, but he's not untouchable.
