There too. Recall David Neitz - who had been a strong advocate for drafting Talia - going pale and almost falling over backwards when we picked Gysberts.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Giving up what may be pick 1 or 2 for May seems a bit steep.

Agree with you on Kelly.

The gut-running rodent's kicks generally get too much air. Ideally someone like a Salem can build their tank to fill that linking midfielder role for us.

DV is a tricky issue, so is religion. Daughter, nearly 8-years old, this morning asks "what is heaven". Wife responds "it's a concept, it may not even exist!'. However I've set her straight and my daughter's mind to rest, explaining that heaven does exist. I've been there. It was on the MCG members wing, Round 20, 4th Quarter.

Great timing for Cotchin. Had it been September he'd be much harder to locate for the handover.

COMMISSION TO MEET ON JOBE'S BROWNLOW 4.52pm 12th Oct 2016 "The AFL accepts and acknowledges this Tribunal ruling and the AFL Commission repeats the statement it made when the CAS finding was handed down in January earlier this year - the AFL is fully committed to clean sport, for the sake of all players from all clubs in our competition". That's a statement that doesn't leave a lot of wriggle-room.

I'm pretty sure the WADA rules are that all awards have to be handed back. Another one for the legal eagles out there...can the AFL be fined for bringing the AFL into disrepute?

So Essendon consider this "manifestly unfair". No contrition exhibited there! They obviously have no qualms about 'bringing the game into disrepute'.- Billy Stretch Appreciation Thread

Developing nicely, way ahead of the output levels I was expecting at this stage.- The youngest most inexperienced side
Melkshem and Hurley would be great injections for next year's backline. Sound inclusions, lamentable terminology.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Viney, Oliver and Wines. Echuca would've had a fairly decent midfield.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
With the added insight grunt to feed him and better targets to hit, is 2016 going to be the year that Jack's assets really start to shine through?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
I think Essendon will get great value from their two first picks and they're both pretty safe selections. We've been a tad more speculative - Oliver's relatively light exposure to top level competition and Weideman's ankle issues - however if our bet comes off we've set up the forward line beautifully and have added a really explosive mid/forward. This will make us a really hard side to contain.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Hmmm...just like Santa he may struggle to get to Darwin (or a town like Alice). May struggle in the interstate games in WA and QLD too. All will be OK though Dee Dee if they're night games. - THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
