  1. You may well be right; however, it IS pipe dream season.
  2. Fantasy Post (if split picks) 1st round picks from GWS; draft Weightman, trade for Laird. 2nd round pick; Langdon. FA; Elliot and Tomlinson
  3. Agreed, exactly what they need. So let's hope hope he doesn't get to them.
  4. For goodness sake, he's having an ice-cream ?
  5. And why analogue is twice as good as digital.
  6. 3 word analysis: lied to face.
  7. Perhaps you've said too much already DeeZee! Loose Lips sink ships.
  8. That's handy.

Thanks, I can comfortably cheer the Doggies on. However, even the thought of cheering on the druggies makes me feel bilious. Part of my question, probably not articulated well enough, was the impact on the rumoured FA Compensation; what the AFL may give to GWS, and how GWS would seek to use it.

With this split-pick / GWS-surplus scenario are we better placed if GWS lose this weekend? Early picks obviously yes, but what of the rest of the equation?

The way I see it we do have a looming need for a rebounding defender. We're being ripped apart by the opposition's small forwards and our best small defender, Neville Jetta, isn't getting any younger. Adding Laird to a backline with Frost and May in it helps cover for the likes of Lever; good interceptor but not quick and not agile.

Sounds like a juicy deal from our perspective.
  13. I've tried reading tea-leaves instead. However, whichever way I swirl the cup, all I can see is naked ladies dancing around a camp fire whilst rain is falling. A vision that 'purple' just doesn't get to enjoy; his glasses fog up.
  14. Wondered the same (great minds think alike, but fools...)
  15. This man is a TEACHER!!! Well, he does have some experience with schoolgirls.
  16. That, and possibly he may be running low on lighter-fluid.
  17. Greatest finish to a test match that I've ever seen. Talk about mental pressure, everyone cracked: Paine, Lyon, Stokes and the Umpire as well. Kudos to Ben Stokes and crowd too; the atmosphere they created was amazing. My colleagues have noticed that I seem a little tired today...
  18. A mind-changing bottle of lunch?
  19. Langlauf? Because we’ve got too many downhill skiers already!
  20. Have managed to put MFCs season into context for my wife (not a footy follower); “even more disappointing than House Of Cards season 8”.
  21. Lucifers’d Longjohns, not a bad avatar name Rusty.
  22. #UnleashHellTheNewsBreakerHowDoesHeDoIt? The last bit is do it, not dolt.
  23. Thanks @KC from Casey, really appreciate the amount of effort you've put into these updates across the season.
  24. Well, after enduring (half) a gut-wrenching game last night, had the pleasure of a family outing to the G today. Very impressed with how both sides went about it. Ratten had the Saints clearance machine purring and their ball movement was good too. Carlton’s big men just that bit better, so they got the chocolates.
  25. To be fair, Oliver has a point. Fritsch executed a pinpoint kick to a team mate in space; this is not ‘the Melbourne way’. However, ANB retrieved the situation by missing the relatively straightforward shot at goal; in keeping with ‘the Melbourne way’.
