Agree with you rjay. On that basis Lachie Whitfield's not much chop either.

Jamie Elliott
Jamie has stated that his plan A in life has been to be an AFL footballer. No plan B. Offering a significant improvement on his future financial security could be very very tempting.

Fantasy trade/draft pick wish list V2, if Laird is not on the trade table. If P2: draft Anderson, Langdon (trading 2nd round), Tomlinson, Elliot: If P3: split picks, draft Stephens and Weightman, the rest as above.

You may well be right; however, it IS pipe dream season.- Cody Weightman (Drafted by Western Bulldogs)

That's handy.- GWS Surplus
Thanks, I can comfortably cheer the Doggies on. However, even the thought of cheering on the druggies makes me feel bilious. Part of my question, probably not articulated well enough, was the impact on the rumoured FA Compensation; what the AFL may give to GWS, and how GWS would seek to use it.- GWS Surplus
With this split-pick / GWS-surplus scenario are we better placed if GWS lose this weekend? Early picks obviously yes, but what of the rest of the equation?- Rory Laird
The way I see it we do have a looming need for a rebounding defender. We're being ripped apart by the opposition's small forwards and our best small defender, Neville Jetta, isn't getting any younger. Adding Laird to a backline with Frost and May in it helps cover for the likes of Lever; good interceptor but not quick and not agile.- GWS Surplus
Sounds like a juicy deal from our perspective.- Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
I've tried reading tea-leaves instead. However, whichever way I swirl the cup, all I can see is naked ladies dancing around a camp fire whilst rain is falling. A vision that 'purple' just doesn't get to enjoy; his glasses fog up.- The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread

Greatest finish to a test match that I've ever seen. Talk about mental pressure, everyone cracked: Paine, Lyon, Stokes and the Umpire as well. Kudos to Ben Stokes and crowd too; the atmosphere they created was amazing. My colleagues have noticed that I seem a little tired today... - The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
