We play 1-short at the stoppage so there is less opportunity for us to find a free man when we have the ball and more opportunity for the opposition to find a free man when they have the ball. Calling time on your career could be the sensible option, there would still be some form of financial compensation.

However, between Collingwood and Melbourne there is a stark contrast in how the ball is being delivered into the forward 50; their system suits forwards who are leading into space. Our system is different and I think requires a strong tall contested KPF to make it more effective.
