The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Unlike last year we have the draft capital, our future 1st pick in 2024 included, to go after higher picks - this year's 7 and 10. Bringing a wave of 3 talented top-end players into our list now sets us up for the remainder of the decade.

Our biggest list gaps to fill: Mature KPF (but not too mature) Inside/outside mid with pace and kicking skills KPB apprentice (May replacement) Filling the gaps: Trade. This year or next, who knows? Draft. McKercher / Sanders Draft. O'Sullivan / Murphy Using later picks to help pick 13 crib up to a pick that will get O'Sullivan would be fine by me.- The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Pick 4 now with WBD.- Trade Rumours 2023
Interesting stats @ANG13. They make sense with the respective game styles. We play 1-short at the stoppage so there is less opportunity for us to find a free man when we have the ball and more opportunity for the opposition to find a free man when they have the ball. The extra time and space allowing for more efficient disposal.- Welcome to Demonland: Shane McAdam

@Redleg covered it pretty comprehensively. Us lesser mortals need to take into consideration that the demands of pre-season conditioning are pretty daunting; especially so if your body is letting you down. Calling time on your career could be the sensible option, there would still be some form of financial compensation.- FREE AGENTS - 2023
Providing a transparent mechanism for calculating free agency compensation would go against everything that the AFL stands for.- Trade Rumours 2023

He was definately flirting with you.- Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
Interesting argument looking at the statistics in isolation. However, between Collingwood and Melbourne there is a stark contrast in how the ball is being delivered into the forward 50; their system suits forwards who are leading into space. Our system is different and I think requires a strong tall contested KPF to make it more effective.- MFC & the media
FWIW @ElDiablo14 the only media I encounter is via Demonland...complaining about the media.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
