Desist; stop doing something; cease or abstain. Rationonately;... -
And it looks like he's really good friends with Jack Silvagni.

The classic 'last guy picked for the team in the schoolyard' who is now desperate to be 'in with the cool kids'. -
I don't disagree @old dee (hey, that rhymes). I do question the timing of the contract extension, perhaps we could have waited a few weeks?
-
Or just put a full stop on it @Redleg? As for team selection, I'm not saying that we should pick Schache, but if we don't then it does beg the question as to why he's on the list. If it is for insurance / break-glass-in-case-of-emergency situations then how much emergency is required and how thick is the glass?

Peruke; extra bonus points for you @Jara. -
Knowing Peter its possible that he could be politicising the situation; he has fought the 'head-in-the-sand' then 'lip-service' approach the AFL has taken for more than 15-years re concussions issues. If Peter doesn't have inside information about Angus's condition and is politicising the situation then I can understand why many people will find this to be distasteful, but I can understand why Peter would do it.

Damn right. Both us and the Blues have selection headaches (unless their lawyer performs yet another miracle). Get through that and then its the same equation for the last four; two wins for the flag.

Well @binman cc @Binmans PA, From his highlights reel - which admittedly would not show his shanks, he looks to have a very sound kicking action.

How confident are you that the 'you're all a bunch of nincompoops' approach will prove effective?
-
Yes, if only we could teach him 'nasty'. Maybe some left-of-centre off-season training is required?
-
@Whispering_Jack you are usually well-informed and/or have an uncanny knack if highlighting the players that we end up drafting. It's almost spooky.
-
Disappointing end to the season but I would like to take this opportunity to thank @KC from Casey for all your efforts this year.

The Way To Go Trade Draft & Free Agency Board
TRIGON replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes @Sydney_Demon, that's another way of skinning the cat. The risk there lies in counting on GCS to do as expected. Given that we don't necessarily have to trade Grundy, I'd rather transfer the risk across to Port. -
Reminds me of the recent Ashes series...maybe this is all part of an application for British English citizenship?
-
According to the latest ESPN AFL Draft Rankings that looks unlikely. The other tall defender that's in the mix, Ollie Murphy, could be there or thereabouts. Should this be in a thread of it's own - Melbourne's 2nd Pick?

They are getting an AA Ruckman! They should put up, shut up and cheer up. -

Grundy for a future 2nd Round pick sounds too cheap (32 to 36 if Port were to remain top 4 in 2024). Would push for their future 1st round pick with our future 2nd & 3rd round picks going back the other way. On points that would equate to an approximate equivalent of Grundy for somewhere between pick 23 to 25 - the end result being highly variable if form from this season changes for both clubs.
