    Great post.
  2. Looks a player, based on the few times I've watched him anyway. Great shout re playing as a small defender @DeeZone.
  3. That is a phenomenal trade period. Well done team.
  4. Could eventually be a good AFL footballer, don't reckon he's ever going to be a good wingman though.

We caved again - Tim Lamb sucks.

History tells me fans complain about us taking "unders" or paying "overs" with every major trade we've completed in the past 10 years. They're nearly always wrong.

You'd think if he truly is happy to go to West Coast, this move will really make things spicy.

Let it be known I'm a big Kane Cornes guy.
  9. That's what I've heard, yes.
  10. On this, believe he's been told Petty's move forward is his potential in, although you'd think Disco is a head of him in the pecking order at this stage.
  11. Can confirm that the knee was nowhere near 100% when he returned, and heavily impacted his form this season. Don't be surprised if he comes back after a full preseason looking more like early 2021 Thommo.

Makes sense. Seems to fit the competitive animal mould, has positional flexibility so can start out as a defender at AFL level.

Not really keen on Cadman personally. I wonder whether we'd be interested in Rueben Ginbey (another WA kid, I know).

Like it until we trade 7. Think we'd keep the top 10 pick.

Are Max and Grundy (at his peak) superstars? How's he tracking comapared to those guys at the same age, just so we're comparing apples to apples and not ruckmen to midfielders. To be more reasonable, how's he going compared to other dominant key position players at the same age? Of the current crop, I reckon most people who know what they're talking about would take Jackson over any other player in the comp, other than maybe Sam De Koning and Max King. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess, but I think many of our fans have been blinded by this year where his performance was clearly hampered by injury.

I think it's impossible to make this call without having seen any of them play a game at AFL level. Give me the proven commodity with superstar upside over the man child key forward who dominated less developed opposition, the explosive kid who missed almost all of his draft year but averaged like 23(?) disposals a game when he did play and the crafty mid forward with athletisism concerns.
  17. Clayton had genuine interest in going to Carlton...

Who do you have over Jackson in this draft? I don't think any of the top 5 possess his upside, Ashcroft included.
  19. Doesn't look like I have many friends here, but I like Hunter the player. We desperately need a wingman to play the other side to Langdon and Hunter fits the bill. Better user and more damaging than Jordon. Can't speak to the off field stuff - assume we do our due diligence etc.

It's common practice for clubs to have state of the art training and admin facilities in the outer suburbs / away from their "spiritual homes". Off the top of my head, two teams I support in Arsenal (London Colney) and the Dallas Cowboys (The Star) are based miles away from their homes, being the Emirates and AT&T Stadium respectively. If it's not possible to get something built close to the G, why not go big at Casey? Melbourne City FC have just had a sizable facility built (check it out here - https://melbournecityfc.com.au/news/melbourne-city-fc-create-new-etihad-city-football-academy-australia-south-east-melbourne), so there's clearly an appetite from the powers that be to house professional sporting organisations out that way.
  21. It'd be incredibly naive to assume there's no substance to these rumours.

    Port with their first pick.
  23. Nah, I reckon he's pretty well liked overall amongst our fan base.
  24. I love Spargo.
