He looks like someone who hasn't played a game of football for three months. In all seriousness, he's competed ok in the air and ruck. Our inside 50's haven't helped.

Can he play as a key forward?

We have forward depth, but it's not Goody's fault that we've been decimated with injury issues in that part of the ground. TMac, Fritsch, Brown and Petty have all spent time on the sidelines this season. JVR and Jefferson are still raw but have promising futures.

Adams has been impressive

Ned Cahill with a Kingsley like performance so far with four goals for the half. Nice piece of play from Jefferson who bullets a pass to Buntine who brings it back to 14 points.

Harmes caught holding the ball in the centre and the Blues with an opportunistic goal.

Seems completely devoid of confidence at the moment.

Spargo involved all over the ground. Kicking goals, linking up in the midfield and spoiling opposition forwards at the moment.

From what I've seen in the VFL so far this season, 'Starship' has a good pair of hands, a big leap and a reliable set shot. However, physicality and defensive pressure is definitely something he'll be working on during the off season which is nothing to be ashamed about considering his inexperience. Still, he's kicked 21.14 from 16 VFL games so far this season which is a decent effort for a first year tall forward. Pending improvement and opportunity, I could definitely see a Woewodin type situation where he's given a taste of senior action for 3-4 weeks sometime next season before he hopefully pushes for regular senior selection in '25.

Hibberd was quality after he came on for Petty. Definitely deserves a full game next week against the dangerous Carlton smalls.

The wheels seem to be falling off both Collingwood and Port in recent weeks. Injuries and form are starting to take their toll as they did for us last season.

That could be season done for Murphy. Been a key player in defence for Collingwood this year. EDIT: N.Daicos also out with a knee concern it seems...

It can't be understated how impressive Jake Melksham has been in the absence of Bayley Fritsch. He's gone from a surefire delist at seasons end to warranting another contract for 2024.
