CASEY: Rd 03 vs Port Melbourne
spirit of norm smith replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Definitely the best Dim Sims. -
Correct. And they/us love the greatest footy club on planet earth 😊
-
Intent and content. Love the podcast. Sure the guys aren’t like Obama but it’s an amateur podcast !!

⭐️Stars: Petracca. Gawn. Viney. Oliver. May 💪🏼The Core: Fritsch. Lever. Langdon. Petty. Rivers. ANB. Bowey. Salem. McVee. Sparrow. Hunter. ☄️The wildcards. Pickett. McAdam 💂♀️The foot soldiers. Chandler. Billings. Tomlinson. Spargo. Laurie. Turner. Fullarton. Hore. Schache. 👍🏻On the rise. JVR. Howes. The veterans. BenBrown.TMCD. Melksham. Development (1-2 years). Jefferson. Adams. AMW. Verrell. Sestan. Windsor. Tholstrup. KBrown. *JSmith* I have to say the standout has been Caleb Windsor. He’s first 5 games have been consistently good. A great start for the young man.

Yes good to get the two wins but the 5 day break was tough. Really struggled in the last quarter as players fatigued. Not sure the conditioning was 5 star but we got the result so 👏👏

Kane Cornes might hate the Crows but he’s thinking that the home town pull might get Petty to Adelaide. Dees have the do our very best to retain him. As a key forward or key defender, he’s hard to replace. At 24yo, he’s best could still be ahead.

Giants 4-0. Definitely a premiership threat. Stars. Kelly. Green. Coniglio. Greene. Taylor. Whitfield. Very strong soldiers to support. Himmelberg. Brown. Buckley. Ash. Daniels. Idun. Developing stars. Callaghan. Cadman. And two very exciting forwards in Hogan and Bedford. Orange tsunami a real danger.

Yes it was a strange decision by JJ to leave and choose Sydney. Swans have plenty of mids and also added Adams. JJ is likely to be squeezed out again!!! I’m surprised he didn’t pick somewhere like the Crows or Hawks.

Carlton are reminding us why we hate them. Such arrogance. Umps got Blues home again 😡😡😡
-
Likely give him 3 weeks to recover …
-
Certainly ex-Sun Jez McLennan would have to be considered. In todays SANFL v VFL game, he looked very good and would be physically ready and skilled as a 23yo to walk into the team. The issue is he is a running half back and we are probably ok for that role. Though his talent would be a handy addition.

Ed Langdon was sensational in 2021 including his endurance running and ability to run all game was a huge asset. Ed’s consistency was still on show in 2022 and 23 and not why the club faltered in finals. He also hit the scoreboard regularly with 13-15 goals in 2021 and 2022. That dried up unfortunately in 2023 down to 6 goals. I think an issue was he is often “caught to close to the boundary line with little room to move and only a narrow margin to work with”. He needs to stand in another 10 metres to give himself room and options with the footy. Small things though and Ed remains a very very good key player.

Dermie🤡 has always hated the Dees. He misses so much obvious things. Oliver couldn’t spoil due to his right hand which clearly is restricting him. Oliver has never taken short steps. Note that 🤡Dermie also says the Blues lack for midfield runners and have only Cripps as a gun mid. He has forgotten about a bloke called Sam Walsh and Adam Cerra. Footy Expert? Hardly !!!

SOSW = Son Of Shane Woewodin aka Taj Woewodin aka Woey jnr
-
Unavailable. Bowey McAdam Hore Spargo Turner Melksham Hunter available but to play at Casey so “No change” only one forced change if the MRO uphold the kozzzy suspension… if so, love to the see the Kolt debut (or perhaps ANW) Mcvee May Petty Salem Lever Rivers Langdon Viney Windsor Sparrow JVR ANB Fritsch BBB Kozzy/Chandler Gawn Trac Oliver Howes Woey jnr Chandler/Tholstrup Billings sub Billings/Tholstrup Go Dees
-
Lions started the season as premiership favourites for a reason. They have their backs to the wall. They have plenty of talent. Tough game but Dees have the talent and desire to win it. Absolute belter ahead.

2023 Player Reviews: #41 Judd McVee
spirit of norm smith replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Incredible. McVee was a standout addition in 2023. His composure and skill. Now in 2024 he’s showing even more resilience and his ability to control and deliver efficiently is next level. He shut down Rankine and again was one of our best on the night. 👏👏👏👏 -
Absolutely correct. Medium impact ???? How. It wasn’t even assessed. Get the Crows doctor to testify. THE DOC has to say “No real impact. He was fine. Hardly even any contact “. Kozzy goes free. Come on Dees. It’s not a time to bend over and accept this [censored] from the MRO.

2024 List and Contract Details
spirit of norm smith replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gus medical retirement. Outlook for no.29 unknown. Looks like end 2024 sees BBB, Melksham and Tmcd likely retirees. Schache and Tomo may not be extended. -
careless conduct with high contact and a medium impact, which has triggered a one-match suspension IT WAS NOT MEDIUM IMPACT Soligo got straight up and played out the game with no issue. Repeat no issue. CHALLENGE. Show some support for Kozzy and challenge this one.

We don’t want a JJ or Bedford scenario where Woey jnr goes to Freo because he’s the permanent sub. Need game time and starting next week. Chandler was lame in the second half v crows due to his knee and Woey needed to come in earlier.
-
Time for the KOLT to debut
-
Huge week. Gather round. The AFL copy of the NRL magic round in Brisbane. But it does spark up Adelaide and gives a vibe. Trac’s carnival cooking show probably will be the highlight. I will kick start. The Bloods culture … blah blah blah. Apparently so revered. So what’s the go with Sam Wicks. And to quote Damo ‘Sam Wicks was given a club-imposed one-week break for “who knows?” Some off field romantic dramas. Damo correctly states “if he was one of the Swans’ top-five rated players, would he have been given the break? In sports selection vernacular, he was expendable. The break has ended, and no senior team recall’. Ah yes. The mighty Bloods culture is fallible. anyway Essendon Edge on show tonight? Let’s see.
