  1. Yeah, 19 once F/S and so on come into play. which is a strong pick. really curious if we have someone in mind in the draft, or there is a trade to be had there. Won't happen but would love to swoop in at the 11th hour and nab Jordan Dawson
  2. the first goal from Petracca was super given the whole team was nervous and it felt like an "Okay, we're on" moment and i think it shook the dogs a bit
  3. So far it's Dunstan Stengle pick 19 confirmed on our radar
  4. Yeah with you, i'd trust randoms on facebook a bit more than the Saints recruiting team over the stretch Billings over Bont McCartin over Trac/Brayshaw the list just goes on.
  5. 100% personality clash with Ratten. i reckon it's a bit like Jarryd Lyons at the Suns, he's got the potential to be a really good player at a team that values him.
  6. 100% if Jack Viney goes down (he's had a few injuries in recent years) Dunstan is just about the perfect ready made replacement. during our lul this year i did think we missed Vineys hardness around the ball. as tough as Petracca and Oliver are, they're better with Viney in there. I also think it's extremely healthy to have extreme pressure on the AFL side to hold their spot. especially in a team like ours, where players will be keen to get in and stay in to grab a medallion
  7. I think its a smart move, Dunstan gives us a big body, AFL ready fringe mid who will keep a lot of pressure on the AFL side, has the potential to be a really strong player for us, and offsets the likely loss of Vanders, Melksham and other big body depth players we look like losing. the question is would he like to be player 23-26 for us, or a walk up start at a lesser side.
  8. Apparently GCS are interested in Melksham but unsure if he's willing to go there.
  9. rate jake Kelly, i think he's a really good get for Essendon!
  10. Priority 1 is to ensure we have the cap space to retain our young core. priority 2 is to look for opportunities to improve our on field mix. the pursuit of Cerra i think is an indication we've got some wiggle room if the right opportunity arose.
  11. all in the same year as they re-sign Cripps and McKay long term and with Walsh due to be signed on again. they're either doing something very very dodgey, or noone else is getting more than rookie wage.
  12. He might legitimately push Gawn out of the ruck in the next few years. Which probably leads to Gawn deep forward more often which would be scary for opposition teams. can't see him going anywhere anytime soon.
  13. Hands down Harrison Petty. to come in as such a young player and hold down Centre half back in a premiership side is incredible. we got better with him in there, and he now looks a lock in our back 6 for a decade
  14. I pay what appears to be the same as i would for 2 seperate memberships effectively, however i haven't looked into this enough to know for sure.
  15. Poor Kid just ruined his career.
  16. I wonder if the Ben King race is one we may join... if we can stock pile some future picks
  17. I think there is a fair bit of guessing going on in the media tbh, like demonland i think the journo's aren't sure how Melbourne would get the deal done. But my guess is he'd like to come to Melbourne, but probably thinks Carlton is more stress free/doable.
  18. Thoughts are with Adam and his family in this difficult time, poor kid.
  19. Reckon we should flick our 2022 first rounder to the Dogs for pick 17. they don't want to use that pick, and we obviously want picks this year for either Andrew or Cerra.
  20. there is no chance we'd aggressively pursue him if we didn't know how we'd get the deal done, so i've got no doubt we'll be able to get it over the line if he nominates us How? NFI
  21. Apparently he gave the players a huge spray about being timmid and not taking the game on, and that change defintiely turned the game, the dogs couldn't go with us.
  22. I'd love to see the number 2 get handed over, so Nathan jones has a presentation with the new number 2 and hands the jumper over. Personally i'd love to see it go to Angus Brayshaw, the selfless and couragous game he played, IMO he turned the game, i'll never forget it
  23. Adam Cerra would be weighing up being a first string midfielder vs for us being second string/maybe playing wing/half back. in terms of his career it's a pretty big deal
  24. Love Petracca, but for me the next captain has to be Jake Lever.
