  1. Dees are back in the 8..... but will be replaced by either the Tigers or Bombers in a couple of hours.
  2. Jason Taylor has struck gold again, this time with his drafting of Mitch Hannan.
  3. All of that possession for a 4 goal half. A team of losers.
  4. Losing today is not an option. Playing finals is the best feeling, and we have been starved of it for 11 years. We are making the 8 this season, end of story. Anything less is unacceptable.
  5. Averaging 29 disposals a game off half back. That is easily the highest average of any non-midfielder, and good for 16th best in the league.
  6. Almost forgot we smashed them by 73 points last season on their home turf
  7. A win would be more than nice. Its another step closer to the finals. And if we annihilate them it increases our already healthy %. This season is so unbelievably close that percentage will be more important than usual and I can see a couple of teams making/missing the finals cos of it.
  8. Petracca at full forward could work out nicely, like the Essendon game. Steven May gets a lot of possession for a full back and likes to run off his opponents like Michael Hurley, who Tracca kicked 4 goals on a few weeks ago.
  9. Ablett out? Finally a bit of luck for us, though I can sadly now our players taking Gold Coast lightly Hopefully Weid stays at Casey for an extended period to work on his craft. He should not come into consideration until he is dominating games in the VFL. Tim Smith and Liam Hulett should be in line before him if we want to bring in a big forward over the next few weeks to warm Jesse's seat.
  10. Yup, and in 2013 in that role he averaged 20 possessions, 4 inside 50's, 3 clearances and kicked 16 goals for the season. So he basically played a JKH type role but could actually do it, so hopefully starting this week he is given a go there.
  11. And some selection news from the enemy 'TOP-10 draft pick Will Brodie will debut for Gold Coast against Melbourne in Alice Springs on Saturday.'
  12. We have never won at Treager oval, 0-3 there. Suns are coming off a bye. Hot conditions (29 forecast) like the Gold Coast players are used to. Make no mistake we will be up against it.
  13. That is absurd that. This is a 50/50 game and we are still inconsistent as hell. And still missing Gawn and Hogan, not to mention Salem is out this week. Also we have been killed by a number of tall forwards this season, and the Suns have Tom Lynch
  14. 29 degrees and zero rain forecast for Saturday. This suits Gold Coast.
  15. God I hate seeing that awful word next to Jesse's name, cant they just list him as illness?
  16. Do you wanna lose by 12 goals ?
  17. Five losses by a combined total of 61 points. Average losing margin = 12.2 We havent had an insipid performance yet, not even close. However if we lose to Gold Coast who are coming off a trip to China where they kicked 4 goals for the entire match, it will be insipid no matter what the margin is.
  18. Thats a fair effort from Mitch. Looks like he has the potential to be a great mid sized forward. Jesse Hogans presence will only help him.
  19. We have the 5th best % in the league, and are 11th on the ladder. Fremantle are in the bottom 5 for %, yet they are 5th on the ladder. Would be nice to have their luck.
  20. Hogan will ahead of schedule. Wanted to play vs Adelaide after his diagnosis, and Goodwin says he cant wait to get back out there. The surgery was minor, despite the seriousness of the diagnosis. Queens Birthday vs the Pies will be the game.
  21. Yeah, Melk should come in and get a run through the midfield and see how he goes. He dominated there for Casey. Struggles at half back it appears. We need Petracca to play more forward as we lack firepower with Hogan out. Also Trac is due a rest.. play him full forward this week, then we have the bye.
  22. In all 4 of our wins, we have had more kicks than handballs. When we handball more than we kick, we lose, just like yesterday.
  23. In - ANB, Stretch, Melksham, Hulett Out - Weideman, Kent, Bugg, Wagner Time to give Liam Hulett a debut. Performed well up forward for Casey.
  24. well I knew the Kangas would beat us so Im not slitting my wrists, as frustrating as it is
