truth hurts RB

And Watts at Kooyong last week. Just sayin ...

And without Mark Neeld.....a successful team.....more members....more wins.....better development.....better game plan.....The question I have is what the hell happened over the 2012/2013 off season??? To loose the first two games of the season by 79 and 148 points respectively.....and to win two games for the year.... complete failure who we all supported and gave time to and believed in. He let us down....let's hope we stick it up him by having a good season. Fk u Neeld.

The AFL has stuffed up the Western Sydney experiment

Tassie would get 15,000 very passionate fans on average to afl games played there given they had their own team, compared to 5,000 for GWS. From all reports state league is already struggling in Tassie, so an AFL team and dropping state league to regional leagues could work. You suggest a third team in Sydney for a 20 team comp, how about in the west, Freo and WC get huge crowds, there is better potential. People in west Sydney don't seem to care or want footy, but swift until they start to win games and the crowds will slowly get bigger and memberships will increase, but hopefully not because I hate the GWS with a passion -
That is based on 2013 output, which means FA because half our team was injured or forced to play a 'role' because we needed them to. Colin Garland is not our second best footballer at the club. The further from him being our best player will result in success for our club.

Tasmania is a massive football state....but it never gets a look because none of the players would choose to live here compared to Sydney..... If GWS start to win games the supporters might role on in and watch....sound familiar anyone??? -
Who is the best up and coming Young Gun Forward ???

Any 17 year old kid who can play VFL the way he did and drive Casey deep into the finals must be a good leader -

What do they base leadership on? The way he conducted himself on field in the VFL I would think 6.8 is a joke. -
Things looked good with a few years ago down back with Rivers Frawley Grimes and Garland, hopefully this year we will have Grimes down back again and I would love to see Vince down there at half back. Because we can not base a back line around Garland.

I think 2013 was a great year for him, where he showed aggression and confidence, but I base what I say on his performances. I have a friend who said he would never watch another Richmond game as long as Darren Gasper was playing, until last year I was having similar thoughts about Garland, I constantly watch a Garland, especially when we have a kick in...he never provides an option! We need his experience back there but he has so many holes in his game and I don't think we will win a premiership with him in our team, however we have stuck with him and I hope he gets better because he should be coming into the prime of his career.

St. Kilda v Melbourne - 2006 Elimination Final
Alcho Dee replied to Courtney_Fish's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think there are a lot of new faces who haven't played together which might take time to gel on field, but they might click straight from round 1. And if Jamar is not up and about we will rely on Spencer or Gawn who will get dominated by other experienced ruck men. -
Perhaps you didn't use much energy over 14 hours at work.

How about you give credit when it is due....great stuff Clarky, I hope he gets the rewards for his hard work. Set the example

Brian Lake or Josh Gibson? Would be close to elite for FB

Garland is a long way from our best player, in my opinion. Clark, Viney, Hogan, Tyson, Grimes, Trengove, Frawley, Dawes, Howe, Watts are all better than Garland. I have never liked Garland, I never feel comfortable when the ball is in his hand. I was happy to see him take the game on last year, and when he was under pressure kicked the ball long, instead of trying to pin point a target. Because he doesn't have the skills to do it. I hate the way he always looks so lethargic. I hope he changes my opinion in 2014. Kick th ball long Garland when you are under pressure......simple!

How good was McLean and Bate.....such a different game back then. -
joking.

Michael Walters.....I don't think he is elite

If people on here don't agree with these contract extensions then they should watch more footy and show more interest in the players. Great news to have these two signed up, especially for Jones, I'm a big fan.
-
Well then I suppose M.Jones will be both, an improver because he is going into his second year with the confidence of a great 2013 top 5 b&f for the mighty dees in his first season and another pre season, also a slider due to our drafting of 4 ready to go mid-fielders Vince, Cross, Michie and Tyson.I think Jordie Mc has been a regular 22 player but he could also be a slider and may get pushed out by others. I hope people get pushed out who we have given opportunity to and who haven't given us much back. But M.Jones gave us plenty last year and can only hope he has another good year.
-
What's with everyone suggesting M.Jones will be a slider.....Please don't forget that was his first year of AFL.....and he is one guy who can hold his head up and say he 'had a crack' he is a massive ball winner and with some help from others in the mid field I would think he will be an improver rather than a slider. The fact that he was one of our best mid fielders in his first season at the club says a lot about his character, get another pre season into him and he will only get better. It's people like Bail who we had stuck with for years and have struggled to get 20+disposals ever who we should be onto. IMPROVER: M.Jones D.Kent J.Toumpas Reasons.....all another full pre-season under the belt(hopefully) going into their second years Kent and Jones had great first years, Toumpas unfortunately didn't have a good year but he is quality and we all want him to be great. SLIDERS: S.Byrnes M.Jamar R.Bail Byrnes didn't impress me last year at all and I would prefer to put games into other players, simple as that. He will not be apart of our plans over the next 3 years. This should be his last year. Jamar has struggled of late and I think we need to play Gawn assuming fit. Spencer looks to be improving Bail..we have stuck with him for so long and I can't see him in our midfield ...time to go.
