A lovely day at Casey beginning with a hot egg and bacon roll after joining a very long gate queue filled with Magpie supporters. I think Casey could have won by 100 points without the wind such was the dominance. I'm afraid the numbers stumped me from a player reporting viewpoint but I was impressed with KK's first half. Definitely something there. Preuss marked and rucked strongly and could perhaps have had a couple more goals. Hard to judge the result as the Pies were in the main woeful... which was of course pleasant in itself. Looking forward to the next day out with Casey.. but hell it was getting cold at the end !!

Geelong are lucky enough to have senior players who contribute significantly week in week out. They have four or five players who are plus 28 who feature in their top 15 each week. Remind me in that sense of North with Harvey and the Saints withe Riewoldt, Montagna and Milne. They have also lucked into youth in the form of Kelly etc. Hell..... I'm jealous

I have nothing to go on but perhaps Gill may get a gentle push in the next year. While the financial KPI's are good there has been some stuff ups that haven't' done the "brand" much good. If I was a club chairman I would want to know why we weren't onto this concern some years back. The apology now runs hollow as LH says. The turning point if not before may be the next round of TV rights negotiations. It may not be pretty.

yep at least four men attacking the ball carrier and of course when we have the ball our players run away, refuse to shepherd and then the ball carrier fluffs the handball or handballs to the player one metre away who gets closed down. Would like to think you are right but I think that Goddwin will believe that with his three "ins" in the backline that his chaos game will get them through. It may well but as we all know it's not a sustainable gameplan over a season.
