  1. TMacs time at Casey will do him no harm. He dominated yesterday. The level of competition is an issue but that can't be fixed. Box Hill next week should be a good test for him though looking at the ladder they're not flying. Allowing for the competition level I think TMac's game at Casey just shaded Weid's game but let's see what the next 2 weeks bring
  2. In the warmth of the morning it was a good win last night. Even though we stuffed up the goal kicking we aced the forward 50 entries over 3 at least of the 4 quarters. Strong signs
  3. Hoping for an Essendon win today. Deflates the Collingwood bubble and gives one the joy of seeing Essendon followers get false hope. Mixed over Hawks v Sydney but marginally desiring a Hawthorn win. Draw would be nice
  4. Injuries and covid aside it's an easy decision this week. Rain predicted for Friday and Saturday
  5. Painful but we'll be better for the win. I'll accept tonight as an aberration.
  6. Not a great display for prime time but I suppose all the opposition supporters are saying... How good are they if they kick straight
  7. you would hope the law of averages would kick in eventually and we would kick a few
  8. Oh great if Petty is off who in bejesus goes back
  9. and now we're behind Remind me who the goal kicking coach is ???
  10. Remember my new mantra.... Kick Straight and Prosper Come on Dees
  11. Decided before the VFL game so it's just precautionary. If there was a real chance of an out he would not have played at all
  12. Surprised he didn't get an offer from another club during the trade period but I don't see him dislodging Jordon in the pecking order.
  13. McDonald beats three on one and passes for a good goal to JVR Excellent play
  14. Looking good
  15. Looking at the crowd postioning they seem to have closed off a lot of the ground. No one in the Grandstand ?
  16. Tommy Mac staking his claim ?? 3 goals so far
  17. The forgotten man Jake Melksham goals and we're 16 points down. Need a few ... Bang Bangs
  18. Funny but I think Weid has only kicked more than 4 goals perhaps two or three times at VFL level. Once was 6 against Box Hill in 2018 (?)
  19. Forward marking will be the key along with accuracy. If we limit their marking in the forward 50 and take a few ourselves... game over. Expecting a heavy defensive press from the Tigers
  20. we've got the close one Harry !!!
  21. ok but at present Foxtel pay around 70% of the media rights. It's the FTA channels who have got the free ride
  22. The big difference this time is that Foxtel/Kayo is preparing for a public float and they are no longer so willing to loss lead. Believe me this one matters
  23. The unfortunate reality is that when you add the existing rights fees for AFL, NRL and cricket together no streaming company can make money in Australia. (10M households only). Thus it has to be bundled with something that compensates for the loss. Foxtel in taking massive losses on Sports for nigh on twenty years has left Australian sport with an unrealistic and unsustainable view of its worth
  24. If you wish to follow soccer it now requires a subscription to about four streaming platforms. Sure it's caused by the plethora of competitions (EPL, Champions League, World Cup etc) but it's an example of what might happen
