Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
He was there to kick goals and kick goals he did Equal least number of games to kick 100 goals (With John Coleman) Tackles - no not his strength but I'd still love him in our team

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Really ? Did you see Jakovich or Dunstall play ? I don't think either could be described in that way,. Both had exceptional footy IQ, great strong hands on the lead, beautiful kicks for goal and fantastic at protecting the drop zone when competing for marks one on one. Both incredible talents and both would still do very well today - obviously just my opinion

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Height in itself can be an advantage however it can also mean you are less mobile Personally I would prefer a fit Allen Jakovich (187cm) or Jason Dunstall (191cm) than BBB as our FF but that's just me

Chandler Tackle
What utter BS from the hoax and farce that is the AFLs MRO There was zero malice in Chandlers tackle - how he gets a two match suspension and Hawkins consistently gets away with everything is a complete joke

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I am on record as saying JVR has great potential and is developing well at Casey BUT IMO he is not ready to produce more than BBB, Fritta, TMac or even Weid at AFL level and there is absolutely no pressing need to play him at that level yet (unless we have senior players unavailable). The comparison with Jakovich is not particularly relevant and Jakovich was simply a freak and more physically ready to deliver at senior level JVR is still a pup in footballing terms - he is really benefitting from building his fitness and strength competing against senior players (most of the time) at Casey. He has admitted himself it has been a big step up in training loads etc this year. Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves with his latest performance because the opposition was not that strong He will get his chance when the time is right - our coaches and football department have been doing a great job developing our young players and I have complete confidence in their judgement to play him when they feel he is ready

Bobby Hill
Don't blame him wanting to leave they have very little, if any, "team" spirit Never going to be any good whilst they still play for themselves and not as a collective I watched the Geelong game and was shocked how poor they were - Taranto in particular had terrible body language and looked incredibly lazy and disinterested

Unfair fixtures for Top 4 contenders
Of all of the top 4 contenders Geelong concern me least - if they make it - not phased I'm more concerned about the prospect of either Freo or Brisbane away come finals I know we seem to play well away now but at the pointy end I'd like the Dees playing big finals at the MCG in front of all their fans For this reason its important for us to just keep racking up the wins and be top at the end of the season

Steven May on On The Couch
Steven's come a long way since joining the MFC - I'm very happy for him as he is now playing to the standard he is capable of. It has come through hard work and discipline and it tells me that the club has developed a great culture and has some excellent coaches - long may that continue

Gawn Knee Concerns
Majak has been quite good in the ruck at Casey and could certainly fill a need if required. He did mysteriously disappear in one game early which I assumed was some sort of illness that day. If Max is sore or NQR I don't see any need to risk him at this stage in the season

Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
Daicos is favourite mainly because his name is Daicos - simple as that

Clarry contractual news
- Farewell Luke Jackson
The eagles can't trade their first round pick unless they pick up a second one in the trade period - I believe they have only used 1 first round pick in the last 4 drafts I really don't see why Luke would even consider leaving his mates and a team that is flying high - the eagles are a complete rabble and have nothing to trade that would be considered acceptable anyway- When was the last time you watched Melbourne lose?
Collingwood last year at the SCG - Buckley's last Hoorah Kept expecting us to hit another gear but it never happened Sobering every time I think about it- CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
It probably isn't worth getting into a debate here but I think when Joel handballed there was also a Melbourne player on the other side of Lynch - perhaps he just handballed to the voice it was a pretty hectic situation. I wouldn't agree that it was under no pressure. With the new HTB rule if he had of been tackled and failed to get rid of the ball he would have given away a free directly in front of goal. No disputing that he made an error but its difficult to imagine getting through a whole game without making some sort of error or miscalculation. Pretty sure I could find a mistake with every player in the team in every match if I tried hard enough- CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Joel Smith made one mistake otherwise he played a good game - May made a similar mistake in the last qtr - pretty tough call to drop him over that- Nathan Buckley a Dees supporter?
and not now ? š¦- NUMBER 27
Luke came back on the ground after the hit and assessment so I don't think concussion will keep him out I thought he did ok particularly given it is his first game with a new side albeit he has been training with all the boys it is quite different in a real game context- What They Are Saying at Punt Road
I thought Goody said in his presser that Lever rolled the same ankle twice in the GWS game and they would have to wait to see how he recovered - Id say they are taking a conservative approach again with him- CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Not sure if you saw Mitch Brown's last match on the weekend but from my perspective it was certainly not a performance that would have the selectors discussing him for AFL selection His previous match against his former team (Essendon) he started ok then was hit behind the play just after 1/4 time and never returned The game I think you are referring to was against Sandringham where he kicked 7 goals playing in a team that won convincingly and he was opposed to a first year kid that is nowhere near ready for AFL selection In short - no I think he is still behind BBB, TMac, and Weid as the tall options in F50. I would also suggest he could fall behind JVR by the end of the season if Van Rooyen continues to improve- The Mystery of Majak Daw
Having watched the game he didn't look right from the first bounce - seemed to be struggling just jogging and moving around I would guess he was feeling unwell rather than any sort of physical injury - if so very surprising he actually took the field If he was in fact "sick" and not injured that may explain why there has been no injury report- CASEY: Rd 04 vs Coburg
Yes apparently did well but I only saw the final 1/4 Joel Smith 7 kicks 6 handballs 13 disposals 3 marks 4 tackles 56 dream team points- The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule
I thought the umpire (or one of them) said that the 50 was awarded against Clayton Oliver for something he said when the free was paid I don't think it was awarded for simply having arms outstretched or raised- GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs GWS
Iām confused is Trac playing or not ?- CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
Seems to me a few people here think GWS will be an easy kill and we can rest players, tinker with positions and gift younger players a game before they are ready etc. I know they aren't fielding the same team as the one that beat us on the same ground last year but they do have some very good players and on their day are a tough opponent - there seems to be a touch of over confidence emerging- CASEY: Rd 03 vs Williamstown
Not mentioned in the best players last round - you might have to use some imagination or just pay up like the rest of us š - Farewell Luke Jackson
