POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Wherever it was it wasn't warranted. Wouldn't be surprised to see Fogarty get a deserved fine: deliberate, behind play. What I particularly didn't like was a commentator saying Lever dropped too easily. Sick of commentators making out our players stage when hit. I reckon that is why Clarrie didn't get a free for the wallop across his head, umpires think he stages so doesn't get much protection.

Anyone else notice the friendly banter Walker and Lever were having after the game. Maybe hatchets have been buried.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
It was rather odd to hear Ricciuto say Fogarty and Lever didn't like each other. They were never team mates, in fact Fogarty was recruited with the pick Crows got for Lever. And they would have only played against each other 2 or 3 times. Odd. And as for saying Lever 'got into' Fogarty for what was a gentle push to the shoulders, well Ricciuto has gone soft if he thinks that is 'getting into'. It certainly didn't warrant the punch to the stomach from Fogarty in return.

The Run Home
I think top 4 is almost a lock for us as we are 2 games and 27%, effectively 3 games ahead of 5th as it isn't easy to shift % at this time of year. Lions and Freo are more likely to dropout of top 4. But their top 4 chances were improved by the Blues and Swans losses. With the wins to Ess, and Saints, Eagles wanting to be a top 8 'disruptor', Port and Bulldogs fighting for the eight, and the Giants finding their mojo, no team in the top 10 has an easy run home. Given this 16 and % could be enough for Top 2. If so our chances of Top 2 are greatly enhanced with the lead we currently have.

2022 List and Contract Details
Yes he is. And his value would be higher. Chandler is one who might chase senior game time next year as we have a bit of a long queue of small forwards. He was given a two year contract last year, the first as a rookie the second as a senior player. We did the same with JJ two years ago and might do the same with 'Disco' if the rumours of a two year contract are correct. It will depend on list spots and sal cap for 'Disco'. For Chandler and 'Disco' we will need to use a draft pick to promote them to the senior list. But these will probably picks in the 70-90 range so do not affect our other drafting.

Lets make sure our facility is finished before the AFL and Fed gov't start putting money into a Tassie stadium.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
I think I misread the 'To Win' column. I realise now that is to win the Premiership not to win today... Clearly I know nothing about betting!! But it should have been intuitively obvious. Hope you lose your bet!!

@WalkingCivilWarif you have bet your usual bet against us and the Crows win you will have quite a windfall: they are $751 to win!!

Probably because said journalist has excellent contacts and has done her homework! Oh, and her English grammar and vocabulary are pretty good. So nothing to fault except what can't be seen and is petty.

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
And there were several 'marks' paid to Carlton where the commentators said the ball hadn't travelled 10m let alone 15! Helped change the momentum toward Carlton. Thankfully, the Saints just kept going and fighting then prevailed, regardless.

This plan may just work! 2026-vision-afl-s-plan-to-make-a-tasmanian-team-instantly-competitive Thankfully, we are in our premiership window now. Five more years to add to our silverware before the Tassie concessions and dilution of the draft pool kicks in!

Watch it live! If we lose It will be less of a shock than learning it after the event. Live will be a slow build up to the result! ๐ Wishing you a speedy return to good health.

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
I counted at least 3 frees to Curnow and McKay for 'holding', near or inside the 50m mark. In each case they were holding each other. One to Curnow was really late in the game and had he goaled Carlton would have lead. Curnow and McKay have learnt to hold/lock arms with their defender and then go to run forward without letting go and it looks like they are being held. Blues now only 9 behind Bulldogs on the 'Free Kick Ladder'! #bluesfreekickwatch!!

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
The only thing that concerns me is the inside info Burgess has on our player stengths/weakeness, game structures etc. Crows will be all out to get a fast start. We will need to be alert early for new tactics, after all they surprised us with a winning game plan last year, without Burgess. If we can get the fast start, kick straight and take the crowd noise out we will be well on our way. Had hoped this would be a % booster and we win by the 6-8 goals. Now thinking a win of 3-4 goals, even without a recognised ruckman. A game to bank the 4 points and move on.

2022 List and Contract Details
Interesting. Adelaide were pretty keen on Chandler last year but he decided to stay. He may think about it again this year with, as you say, Bedford getting games and Laurie in the wings.

Farewell Luke Jackson
They need a tall defender desprately. They recruited Naughton as a defender so maybe they plan to move him back as Darcy, JU-H develop and they get Bruce back.

It seems Lobb is all but signed up with the Bulldogs so he wouldn't be part of any trade, if there was to be one.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Thank you. But it disappeared off the 'front' (Home) page of the AFL website pretty quickly! I couldn't find it on the 'front' (Home) page last night or this morning... I bet the media will go ga-ga when De Goey signs with a club and he has done little that is positively newsworthy. Generally, I still feel he is underappreciated and under applauded in the media.

2022 List and Contract Details
Thanks. Your thoughts sums it up really well. Maybe Baker goes as he has been on the list for 5-6 years and hardly played seniors and we have a few others like him for depth. As Hunt is my equal number one favourite player, I sadly agree he needs to look elsewhere. There was a report yesterday that Turner is on the verge of signing a 2 year contract so will move from the 'rookie' to the 'seniors' list. Chandler will also move from 'rookie' to 'seniors' as he was contracted for an extra year last year.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
8.00am. Still nothing on AFL website on Oliver's contract, yet lots of articles on minor selection decisions. Barely rates a mention on Fox and the Age web sites . Arguable the best player and the most sort after if OOC, signs for life and it isn't news? Not Big news! He is chronically underappreciated. He deserves far more recognition and accolades. Edit. Refers to AFL 'Home' page of their website.
