  1. I thought by the way Ben was shaking hands with the MFC players after the game...
  2. Brings me to your point, Sparrow kicked another 50 mtr beauty yesterday. That said, umpires wait for Viney to go i inch off line to call play on, and why the kicking for goal at and around the fifty seems to be open to umpire's discretion, depending on, i have no idea what??
  3. The commentators know that they are scum, they know what they are doing, and i think it's tied to a couple of issues. They know that MFC Football Club want a Home Premiership. What that means come the end of September, they will all have to come and bow down to the MFC. I don't want to put the spotlight on anyone, but i think we have playing, some individuals that are not " in their mould type" sport people. I guess you can figure out who i am talking about, and their show did the trick.
  4. Not completely correct. It was what is wrong at Melb, how bad we are, and bruise free, and no one will go there, etc etc, ad nauseum.
  5. Did you see the backless waitresses for Charlie 3?
  6. Well, where do i start and end. This game was spoiled by the very inconsistent efforts by what the industry calls umpires. In this game they weren't umpires. They very rarely paid marks. They very rarely paid interference to marks. We were not beaten by a good Team. We were nearly beaten by an extremely fortunate team and some, as usual bewildering decisions. The difference between last week and this week was rank. To an observer you can tell when the smaller players aren't going to be protected. Their(umpires) fine art now is to penalize but make it so its not that obvious and by three qtr time they had nearly run out of tricks. The one i did notice though was how the protected one behind the person on the mark definitely only applies to us. Just so sick of such poor performances, both on and off in the media. They don't even bother hiding it anymore. Sad when there is plenty of younger blokes with footy commentating nous, they still manage to regurgitate old hacks, who should be doing Bingo calling.
  7. Zorko and Rich out what a load of baloney. They were going out of their way to make sure that the cameras saw the ice. They were being rested or my hair is growing at twice the rate it was forty years ago..
  8. You only have to worry about the extremities, boys
  9. We got the trifecta of umpires this week 31, 32, and 33. Have no idea on rule of the week, but i guess we will have to wait to see what comes up tonight. The ambiguity of the push in the back rule, which is so open to interpretation by one individual one week and then differs the following week. Then what about the tearing off of the head from the torso, and the degree of how dazed the individual is or for that matter who they are, and are playing for. Both these rules will come into play heavily tonight, consistency will be appreciated
  10. Yep flights getting cancelled on way to Cairns airport after driving 100ks from Daintree with two other people is not funny.
  11. I think those comments are balanced, and will add two things. Be very interested to see how many frees Matty Rowell will get along with Lucretia and Is i hope we get Razor again.
  12. Anyone see/hear anything that could be construed as disturbing from tone of conversation on AFL 360 last night in regard to the slotting in of future pioneer coaches at TS devils? With the inevitable cupboard placement of the Hawthorn Debacle....etc
  13. No, but i can imagine what it would be like.
  14. Further to above, wholeheartedly agree. In the Melb Commentary they all seem to wrap Oliver but contradict the whole process by not following through, which, by the way, i'm not displeased about.
  15. A bit like all of us..
  16. Just while i'm talking i do think that another Club other than GC might be up and about a bit more this year and could end up vying for seven and eight along with TWSNBN and now Sydney and that CLUB is GWS.
  17. I'm going to be keeping an eye on Joel Smith for the next few weeks just to see what happens, because he has had a slow build up and was very close to the GF two years ago. Smokey with nothing to lose and experience.
  18. Didn't look too interested in footy in my book. God i hope he cleans out all the parochial deadwood from there.
  19. Schache should stay in my book, made a couple of really effective contributions and a goal. Actually seems to know what to do in the ruck, which is to touch the ball in the direction one wants it to go. We need young fast players against this mob, able to run out the four..
  20. Future Brownlow Medallist
  21. Ironically the Brownlow medallist does it and nothing happens to him, he goes on to win the bloody thing. I do not agree with the punitive rebuke of it was bad, its not a school room..
  22. The great unknown DZ, the great unknown.
  23. Not sure whether i agree with talking about winning multiple flags at the moment is good for a balanced season effort as we slip to second on the ladder. Put a bloody lid on that right now CP,,,
  24. He is now in the "to be tackled by more than three players club" along with Petracca , Oliver and Kossie.
