Rankine needs to be more for GC and less for Rankine. Two examples so far. Last night and a few weeks ago.

The standout difference between Hipwood and Weideman for me this year and much of last is that Hipwood is Brisbane's biggest Umpire WINGER, equal to Charlie. And it's not as if they don't get a square deal. In true tradition Weidemans don't winge...and i like that.

There are many Fox haters on here and rightly so. Fox have got such a bent interest in sport in Australia, let alone politics, where commentators are much like their compatriots in the land of the great WHITE cloud who haven't the guts, let alone the brains to call the Truth out when it needs to be done. Just another example of infringing against Max, is where he doesn't get a run up at the kick in to take the mark, and the ball is put too close to his fixed position, it is patently obvious that he is going to get undue and unfair close attention. We will have situations soon where someone will be coming from behind with the intent of swing arm spoiling , except he's not, and will miss the arms all together and collect the bloke's head, knock him out, concussion , fractured jaw and eye socket damage may follow, similar to the old king hit. ...and they think that swing tackles are dangerous....

...and i would give Harmes or Petracca a go as vice captains.

If one had to do a synopsis of the umpiring, aside from calling it disgraceful, we would have to say that MFC actually had to earn the result. As at the same time weathering the first half migraine producing stultification of the rules and then seeing the error of their (MFC's) ways and run away with it. Now they know what to do..... onward and upward.

Would it be beyond the realms of possibility that everyone starts sharing the ball around that much more that we make more mistakes and consequently turning it over more than usual........

Totally agree with everything you said. Horses for courses and Preuss in particular, in that, and last weeks situation , would fill the bill, and the fear of the Lord. Did notice that the opposition did seem to have a high opinion of Burgess. He should have told them to feck off.

There has never been a more physically abused Captain and player than Max. Every time he went for the ball he was stripped from the back and sides, by some two bit little runts who, if we had the players who would do the subtle interference that that mob were coached to do, in the clinches, that result would have been vastly different. Port is a side that plays the man at every opportunity. EG: We would go for the ball, they would go for the tackle, and never the ball, and it looked terrible. Players held without the ball constantly. Players tripped all the time. Players randomly pushed, ragged and strangely purposely kicked and tripped on their way over fallen opponents. What a shambolic bunch of second rate umpires who even have the gall to yell out decisions that do not resemble what happened...... Personally i think we should have Women Umpires who would have far more balanced decisions based on what they see, not what they think they see. That would be a start......

Have a fair idea what "they" want the game to look like, like the Cats........short passing whatever your discretion feels like and then clamp down on it when it suits, and you know when that is. Give a free when even though you know the camera doesn't lie and that [censored] up the whole game enough for the opposition to be seen laughing about it after the game, and we knew when that was. The AFL have installed into their ranks amongst others TWO of the biggest striped no hopers the game and the general fraternity have ever seen, and we all know who they are........

Quite a few decisions against us tonight that were seemingly not unanimous, overruled or just not picked up at all, but we were playing against a Team that has to be given every chance to feature in a packed sell out come GF Time.....
