  1. if true this great news. I know you said it’s unconfirmed …but is the source someone you consider to be usually reliable?
  2. As a burnt and long time supporter I’m feeling a wave of caution here. I remember ( too clearly lol) When Glenn Swan debuted in 1973 at FF. We had a great reserves team and he was knocking the door down in 72. In his 5th game in the seniors he kicked 8 goals and I’m pretty sure Jim Tilbrook kicked 6 that day as well. Forward problems were over for a decade…we all thought. Swan did pretty much nothing for the rest of the year and quit at the end of the season. It was a great performance yesterday but let’s wait a few weeks to pop too many champagne corks.
  3. A question about future planning and How to work our Max cunundrum? playing Max solo seems like our best chance of winning another flag . Do we try to hold onto Grundy fr a cpl of years as back up. Will we even have a choice as he may well ask to leave. If this plays out as now increasingly expected , then any decent ruckman will also fear being stuck in the VFL and may not want to come to us. I’m loving the “ now” after a great win but how to plan ahead ?
  4. I saw that too. Almost like Dusty was explaining to McVee how to cover the territory better. Helping a first year player. I was impressed by that.
  5. Close fast game… but we’re missing v gettable goals. Trac looks tired.
  6. that’s why Harmes is done with us. I’d rather we try a dunstan. cannot kick worse
  7. hopefully not self inflicted!
  8. Well put. There’s big multi year decisions to make this off season aren’t there. Mckay would be a mixed blessing… but so tempting! Personally im in the long term success bag vs immediate success. Hopefully we can do both. Once Tassie enters and, given that our facilities that may make attracting players more difficult if we’re falling , we just do not want to be dropping off too far at that time. The plight of West Coast is not something I want to ever see again at this club. Ultimately this club has done SO much right for a long time now…I feel I can trust good decisions will be made. Even if I disagree with them.
  9. He'd be great with Kozzie wouldnt he. AND the handwringing from the dockers would be magnificent.
  10. Re May. Im wondering if age and dodgy hamstrings are catching up with him...or it was purely an off day. He was sublime a couple of weeks ago but even then his kicking, while it's always had its occasional flaws, is beginning to feel like a genuine liability. Everytime he goes to kick it I realise I have no trust it's going to a melb player! We obviously need him, he's still a star, but my question is do we need to take the kick ins off him entirely and / or do we need to try to get him to handball now rather than kick as we might do with someone like Max?
  11. this is the self SAME guy who was outraged the dees were getting pick 3 for Frawley. frikn hypocrisy of the highest order.
  12. When you land and recover…We need your opinion re Clarry. i’ve been scouring this forum looking for you fr weeks lol.
  13. If he was playing as a pure fwd as is suggested I’d say that is pretty decent isn’t it?
  14. It’s worth a lot OD! I’d love to see this happen… almost as much as I wanted a flag.
  15. It was a set up from months ago imo. Hardwick left the tigers because he knew he had that job up there. He didn’t want to quit the tiges and go straight to GC. Tge whole thing smells. Dew missed his chance with us big time.
  16. Well, regardless of how it got this bad ( and none of us know that for sure) we have to make sure it heals properly now. Whether that means missing 2, 3 or more weeks or the frikn season. Clarry healthy is a bigger fish than the season of 2023. We need him for 5 years not for 5 weeks. Its heartbreaking but its part of footy.
  17. Yep..literally the only player we have who can kick straight consistently. FML. 5.15 might look like the good old days soon. he's going to be a massive loss.
  18. Bedford doing what kozzie used to re pressure. I dunno what’s happened to this side. They’re tough at it i’ll give them that but playing with no sense of purpose and kicking with no confidence .
  19. fritter with ice on his foot 🤦‍♂️
  20. jesus this whole 1 goal a bizalliion behinds is now the norm. fmd
  21. Interesting. If there was ever a time to go at him it's now. It's a risk obviously given his knee but it shouldn't cost the earth the earth either with that in mind.
  22. Possibly the worst free against us for the season. A great tackle …and it ended up in a goal for Geelong. Still angry about this one.
  23. critical moment wasn’t it? I thought it was going to HTB. We never got to see that replayed.probable 2 goal turn around.
  24. we haven’t given up such a run of goals fr a long time. pretty disappointing.
  25. Seems like a lot of over confidence on this page?! Im expecting a tough tight contest.
