NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
David King said 5-6 weeks if the AFL is serious about concussion. Stewart played a good game, but you can very easily make the argument that his hit on Prestia was the difference in the game.

Richmond are dreadful. They made so many mistakes in that last quarter.

The technology matches the list profile.

Ok, so this is where it gets interesting. Geelong said they were loading last week. Letโs see how they are after half time.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
He was knocked out on the ground and lay down for 2 minutes, the umpire saw it and reported Stewart straight away, Prestia came off and was immediately subbed out for concussion - meaning he misses next week. Theres absolutely no way that doesnโt cost him more than it costs Prestia - which is 2 games.

Shhh! ๐คซ My outrage about this has nothing to do with our draw. Iโm outraged! We all should be outraged! Itโs outrageous!

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
The fox footy boys going after how poor it looked and thereโs nothing Stewart can do but fall on his sword. Trial by media done. Minimum 3 weeks.

Youโre right. Just saw it and it was a shoulder braced to hit him flush in the head. Itโs really, really bad.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Agree. Heโs a great, and usually fair, player - but that was everything weโve been told the AFL wants to get out of the game.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Has to be four week. Prestia out this week and next week, elbow to the head. Was knocked out on the ground by an elbow after the ball went well by. Didnโt need to do anything. If the AFL is serious you have to rub him out for twice what he cost the guy playing the ball.

Stewart deserves four weeks for that! Horrific

Iโm not. Iโm hoping they beat Geelong - and then fall in a hole.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
I thought the umpires did a good job on Thursday night. They stayed out of the game, and only paid what was there (except the Daniher frees which I wasnโt sold on). The issue is that umpires are the public face of the administration of a game thatโs become far too complicated. They are there so people will go them in the absence of any alternative. I understand the AFLโs need to want to protect the umpires, but the reality is the problem sits with the AFL itself. The umps are doing there job, but often the job requirements donโt make sense, or arenโt clearly communicated to stakeholders. If the AFL wants to fix the problem of umpire respect they need to simplify the game, and itโs communication.

Freo loading? Carltonโs second halves have been terrible all year yet not today. Freo looked well off it against hawthorn at home 2 weeks ago too.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Carltonโs game style looks to be built off the back of manic turnaround running and intensity. The problem is they canโt do it for 4 quarters - and itโs physically crushing over the course of a 22 game season. Be interesting if they develop a different gear. Every game Iโve seen them play all year they fade a lot after half time.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Itโs interesting watching Mac Andrews given his history. Played on ball in his underage games but isnโt anywhere near big enough for it against adults. He might end up being a not quite player for a few years until he finds his position.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Somehow Richmond get to play an โawayโ game today at their own home ground against a team with a publicly funded stadium 50 minutes away? Why is Chris Scott not whinging about this like he does every year about finals? This is why I hate Geelong. They constantly get it both ways, and complain about it only when it doesnโt suit them.

Roaming Brian is an embarrassment. Itโs like watching a drunk uncle work the room at a wedding he wasnโt invited to.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
Perhaps there are ramifications for the AFL and itโs integrity from a gambling perspective? It certainly seems like, in a media industry obsessed with every minute detail, no one is going near this with a 10 foot pole. Maybe Scott was told to put a dampener on it.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
I find the Scott comments fascinating. Selwood went out of his way to mention it. Heโs a very experienced player. Thereโs just no way this got on the agenda by accident. I think they wanted other clubs to know, arguably because theyโve been late to the party. It never had to be mentioned in any way, but it was - by their long term captain whose spent 15 years toeing the line with the media. Maybe Iโm cynical but itโs out there for a reason.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
There was excellent banter at the ground last night. A die hard Bears supporter started giving it to us early in the second saying we werenโt โwho we were last yearโ. I very loudly reminded her โat least weโre still who we were 100 years agoโ. But the winner was the bloke in front of me who yelled out to Joe โYouโre not even in my top 5 favourite Danihersโ. I love going to the footy.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
I legitimately thought the cheer squad did a fantastic job all game, and really lifted in the second half and brought it home magnificently. Kudos to all. Made me proud.

Ya think? I read that game like an absolute page turner and was very happy with the plot.

The cheer squad was ordinary, but otherwise the game was great. @WalkingCivilWar ๐ซฃ๐๐คฃ

Farewell Luke Jackson
He was sensational. If he stays then fantastic, and if he leaves heโs going to leave on an astronomical contract offer that will mean we get a LOT in return. Imagine if we took Lachie Ash or Dylan Stephens and Jackson went somewhere else? We would be furious.
