  1. Didn't get his hands on too many last night 'wayne', but agree with the rest.
  2. To get the club back in the hands, I mean exactly what you say that we get to vote again. As for the club failing.... No, not by a long shot but I will be happy to tell you I told you so when there is change at the top and we get back on track. I am really fearful of the next few years on ground performances not the club going out of business. I just can't see us going forward until this admin is gone. I am really worried you will be 'longersuffering' and that means me too.
  3. But would they have succeeded without the platform set up by Cook & Costa. He may have but the players haven't and they have lost trust and that's at the heart of our culture problem. Craig says the players don't have an issue but if you were the players would you say anything after what happened last time?
  4. You might be right mate, at least he has a bit more conviction than Lyon who just pops in every now and then and backs off pleading I'm in the media when he has pot shots at his own poor decisions.
  5. I understand what you are saying here and what Neeld, Craig and Misson are trying to do and also that it is not a short term fix but the 3 clubs you have mentioned have strong leadership at the top. We don't have this and no matter what the coaching group try to do they will always be hamstrung by it. I don't have hatred for the board but I hate with a passion their decision to re appoint Schwab after the Geelong debacle and then compound their error by giving him a further 3 years. They are just rubbing our noses in it, they have locked in their position behind a failed CEO and can't see that they may be wrong. The scoreboard doesn't lie.
  6. All the elements of a great con man.
  7. I'm not going through it any more. I think Geelong's success is due to a very strong club led by Brian Cook as CEO and Frank Costa as President. You don't so we can leave it at that.
  8. Maybe a couple...You seem to be saying or of the belief that the CEO doesn't have anything to do with the on ground performance of the team. I say as a way of summing up 'Ask the Geelong FC if they believe that Brian Cook had nothing to do for the on ground performance of their team and for their premiership success'.
  9. See previous posts.
  10. I think I am the first one to talk about the AFL stepping in which is something I brought up last year so let me give you my answer. Firstly the board and CEO need to be sacked and an AFL administrator needs to be appointed. The first thing he needs to do is build a bridge between the administration and playing group whilst at the same time ensuring the key stakeholders, members, AFL, media, sponsors etc are on board. He needs to assess whether we have the right coach and or coaching structure and make changes if need be, set up a sustainable business and once that is on track he needs to put in a process to get the club back in the hands of members. The last one may take some time to achieve but it needs to be part of the plan.
  11. 'The Great Pretender' , should be the CS theme song.
  12. It just beggars belief.
  13. lol, another apologist with his head in the clouds.
  14. Read some of my other posts, I've been on about this for over a year now. Without going through it all again, tell Geelong that Brian Cook had nothing to do with with their on field success.
  15. Looks like the spin merchants are out in full force. If they were on the front foot they would do something and not just talk about it. I'm sure they will be happy to take calls from the members.
  16. Ah good to see he's cleaned out his desk and is started his new job already.
  17. Apart from 'Flower' they're all getting on a bit now. Not sure if a bunch of 70+'s are going to be able to generate to much.
  18. A little bit of hindsight as before last year Jones was seen as just a good ordinary plodder and a lot thought he wouldn't make it. He looks the natural leader now and I would think a new broom would see the leadership group trimmed. Trenners does need to go back to his own game, this is my hindsight, it thought he may be able to do it but it would be better for him to concentrate on his game now. Jones and Grimes should lead the club but I'm not as sure about Clark yet.
  19. The leadership issue stems from the drafting, development and loss of draft picks during Schwabs first stint at the club. It was those players that would have provided the leadership to the new group coming through. ...but in the end the only KPI that counts, the scoreboard tells all I need to know 'Jack'. He has been a failure and needs to go. The first 2 are facts, the last thing is only my opinion; because so many seem to have an axe to grind with Schwab that the heat came on us. If he was not there, there would be no Brock and no enquiry and no 7 months instability and no 500k.
  20. Living in another world.
  21. Would be the right thing to do wouldn't it.
  22. Jamar will be lucky if he gets his hand on the ball and it will be good to know that we will be able to play Kerr back into the side.
  23. 'Jack', having a divisive CEO is destructive and has been since he has come back, but impossible since the Geelong debacle. The constructive thing to do is to, in consultation with the AFL find the right man for the job and also at a minimum get a stay on the fine so we don't have that hanging over our heads. We can't let the current situation go on for one more day, that would be destructive.
  24. It's his fault on a number of levels but one of them is that we have players who can't do simple skills.
