  1. Tell the Geelong FC that Brian Cook had absolutely zero effect on the performance of that club.
  2. I guess the positive 'cowboy' is that at least we've had 5 months break, but it doesn't look good for us this week.
  3. I feel your pain 'Iva', for me I feel like the chances of me ever being able to celebrate a Melbourne flag are slipping away. Unfortunately we don't get anything from Don until he has crafted a nice politically correct message with all the real soul taken out of it. A little like the on ground performances, to much thinking, no soul and very little doing when it needs to be done.
  4. Absolutely correct! most of us if not all of us are wanting him dismissed for his last 5 years, I'm not sure who the idiots are that would want him gone on the evidence of one game or week. I don't think he should have been invited back to the club in the first place.
  5. ...and that's the point, not matter which way you want to paint it.
  6. You must be too young to remember.
  7. This has been a political manoeuvre by Don, something doesn't smell right at all here.
  8. I thought it was only 2 and that was bad enough but 3 is total incompetence. I'm sure every other club in the AFL was clamouring for his services and he was irreplaceable.
  9. We've been the Richmond of the 90's from the late 60's and still going.
  10. Agree 'old dee' but its also a lack of belief, of something to play for more than a pay packet. There's no heart and soul at the MFC.
  11. I'm not calling for Neelds head but I am Schwabs, he screwed us the first time and he will walk with a payout again.
  12. Should never have been brought back into the club, I've always believed this and still do.
  13. It is but often when a caretaker is put in place a club has a run of wins or better performance after the shackles have been taken off. Our performances under Viney were still sub standard, can't remember what happened under Riley, and that shows much deeper issues than just the coach.
  14. There will be many capable people around to fill this role and they will be well paid to do it. My suggestion would be to consult with the AFL on this position to find the best available person. We can't afford the divisiveness and heat that the incumbent brings to the club. We also can't afford another failed rebuild and it's beginning to look like deja vu all over again.
  15. Thanks 'RR', makes for interesting reading and those calling for the status quo, well surely it must make you think something may be wrong at the club.
  16. Thanks 'old dee', wasn't sure if it was 5 or 6.
  17. Hardly knee jerk after how many years?
  18. Agree.
  19. There was a major back flip after the Geelong game, he was involved in that. Not interested in the political side unless it suits like most things with Gary.
  20. Half a mill to protect a who?
  21. ...he's done a pretty good job of the politics though protecting his mate.
  22. No mate that's what the Schwab supporters were calling for after the Geelong debacle and look where we are now. This carp about don or Cam not getting a kick is just a furphy, of course they don't but they set the club up and CS has overseen one failed rebuild and has gone back to ground zero with another. Don't you think the club is already divided? CS is the only CEO that causes this level of angst in the football world.
  23. That's the problem, we did the same thing under Bailey. The same person is in charge of the club and this is how he operates, do we have time for another failed rebuild. The club is paying to heavy a price to protect one man at this football club and it should not be happening.
  24. ...and we'll never know the answer to that but a lot of our poor draft picks apart from the very high ones were or would have been passed over by Geelong and Sydney.
