  1. It really did as we also had to move Salem out to the middle...
  2. Laurie, Spargo, Billings, Chandler..keep one of them...probably Chandler. Tip the rest. Of course Koz comes back and we need at another tall at least to help JVR. Look at Tholstrup, Woey, Sestan someone with a bit of extra size and grunt... ...and young Brown who has a bit more zip than the pedestrians we had in last night. Even look at AMW. It would have to have been the most boring, ineffective forward line in the AFL for a long time.
  3. Viney, whilst good was also one of the culprits. We've lost all semblance of team first footy and have gone backwards.
  4. He sure is 'Webber' and one of the best forwards in the game who also gets left out of that discussion.
  5. ...and was his intent to smother or to put pressure on the ball carrier. I think the later. The attempted smother was a smoke screen.
  6. We will all know at the end of September... These predictions are set up to make us all look like fools. So, let me say that things rarely go in a straight line as far as life and sport are concerned. Brisbane to have a rocky ride this season...
  7. I'd be surprised... In most cases these days personal stuff would be a no go zone unless you're a certain Brisbaner.
  8. I think Joe is still hopeless in the ruck...it's his work on the ground with 2nd and 3rd efforts where he comes into his own. Going to be interesting to see how the rule change effects him.
  9. On something so straight forward...really
  10. According to the AFL's defence against the class action it must be Mark Keane's fault for playing & the Crows for putting him out on the ground. SPP has no case to answer...

    We sure do 'dazz'...

I think Salem is such a smart player...his quick hands and thinking around the contest if back to full fitness will be a positive. Plus he is a strong tackler. So, his ball use and defensive pressure could be a real positive in the midfield.
  13. I would play Verrall ahead of Schache. Definite option for me...
  14. Not sure he was a good list decision. Forms been ok but... did we need to go down this path.
  15. I'm not so bothered by the culture 'bin'... I always find that talk a little flimsy with all clubs. Of course if we don't perform well on field this season then the C word will be all over here and the media. It's going to be a tough year. We are 5+ down before we start the season. 2 will not be back. 2 are pretty much done for, Tommy and BBB. Melk is out for at least half the season. Who knows how things will pan out for Clarry. Petty can't get on the park. It's going to be tough, good culture or not. List management might be an interesting discussion. There have been some puzzling decisions the last couple of seasons.
  16. So was ours... No one expected us to play finals let alone win it.
  17. Agree... Many on here have fallen for this one. It's a good/very good list as you've pointed out, we were never a super/generational team. To many holes.
  18. Might be the greatest no hit wonder...
  19. Has he played an AFL Game yet? Notable seems a bit of a stretch.
  20. I will give him a break as he has had an interrupted preseason but will need to get a wriggle on. ...but will need to show some good signs this year.
  21. Maybe we thought other things were more important. This is a good point. He certainly struggled, be interesting to see if he gets another shot against Carlton. With Brayshaw & Salem back yesterdays performance puts him further down the order.
  22. Will be 923 years old by then... ...and they reckon Geelong have an ageing list.
  23. We do need a fit Petty, It's why we held... ...at least for the next few years.
