Had the same thought over the weekend. Currently Bris - 21 & 22 - Gold Coast - 24 & 26 Nth - 32 & 33 GWS - 31 & 37 So a few options for us. Id be aiming for one of GCS picks with them more than likely to have 3 picks before the pick 24 so could afford to shift one to 2017.

One thing that I haven’t seen mentioned on Demonland is the AFL has said that Melksham's salary doesn’t go under Melbourne’s salary cap this year. Therefore meaning Melb could potentially have an extra 400-500K free cap space to roll over into next year’s cap which potentially could be used to lure an out of contract player with a front ended contracted to the tune of let’s say 400-500K???

I spoke to a club recruiter on the weekend and he had Weideman at #2. said he could be anything. Can play FF/CHF or he thought he would make a great CHB. Absolute highest quality kid.

Snap, This is how I see it playing out. Hence Ess saying is done for pick 25 talking the trade up and why melb are saying a 2nd rounder is around the mark.

Agree with all this but a couple of stats that show Gawn up to have the ability to have much greater impact on games than NicNat going forward when you compare the two are contested poss and clearances which you would think Nicnat would have a big advantage over Gawn. Cont Poss 9.1 Nicnat 9.0 Gawn Clearances 4.1 Nicnat 3.0 Gawn. With Gawn ability around the ground and his desire to get his hands dirty he has the scope to become a very good ruckman and be more complete than Nicnat.

Melb select a 21yo left footed midfielder from the SANFL with pick 40. Has a solid body, good at clearance and won the port magpies B&F. Sounds like a great get at pick 40 to me!!!

So are they both dominate players in the TAC becasue they are built like men playing against boys or are they the best players regardless of their size advantage??
