  1. you got to be kidding me, players need to go guys!
  2. Thats already been suggested. Don't think we would get much for Dunn. Bate maybe a pick upgrade? Morton....hmmm its hard to say. Thought I would put Magners name in the mix. He is a solid support player though not a game breaker.
  3. Wing is classified as a mid So you think we draft say....Viney, Wines and Toumpas as mids Moloney Couch and Magner to play as forwards Petterd, Dunn and Jetta to delist for example? Honestly that makes a bit of sence, though I think the cut will be balanced, we will need to cut players who perform a combination of roles. It is better we trade them to get value and so that they can continue there career
  4. Ok we keep him and who do you suppose we de-list instead to make room for the 3 - 4 new mids we expect to come in? Jones? Trengove? Sylvia? Blease? Cant have your pie and eat it to sadly, and space needs to be made while maintaining a balance on the list.
  5. Lets be honest , the list needs a balance, we cant get rid of 4 forwards to recruit 4 mids. And yes we need mids, Jones - We keep Trengove - We keep Moloney - Free Agent Evans - Gone Mckenzie - We Keep Couch - No Market value
  6. How can we trade him then if we agree to pay him a certain amount? He is untradeable.
  7. How is this a worst post then one that didn't make sense? I would like to see you even try to justify that. And since we are expecting to pick up 3-4 mids how do you expect us to make space? I don't think the club will get rid of forwards to draft mids, they like to keep a balance with this type of thing...
  8. A 2nd rounder would be a great return for him I think.
  9. Well some mids need to go to make room for new mids. Cant get anything for Moloney without a massive beat around the bush. Evans will probably go. I cant think of any others...
  10. You can upgrade and trade http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/83147/default.aspx Unless this has been changed
  11. Moneyball
  12. I don't know about you guys but if its possible, I think we should put Magner up on the trade table come end of year. I love the guy and his hard at it attitude and I agree he was a great pick-up, though I honestly think that we could get some value from him on the trade table. With our team expecting to pick up a number of new mids, the room in the teams mid-field will begin to be limited so I think we may as well get value for him while we can before he ends up playing for Casey week in week out. Note that this thread would've been about Moloney if he wasn't a free-agent and so difficult to trade off because of this. I think one or 2 mids will need to go end of season to make room for the new ones expected to come through.
  13. Can rookies be traded? I think a good moneyball opportunity would be to trade off Magner
  14. Freo going to go hard at him once Cloke signs apparently. Funny enough the whole Cloke saga has suspiciously died down this week...
  15. Thing is if GC17 get a pick in mini-draft, we don't know who they will take. So if we get 2nd pick, we wont even know what we are going to get for our money. Use the picks in the draft, Toumpas, Stringer, Garlett/Kennedy/Mayes and Viney is the go. Those 4 in our mid-field will turn it around and set us up for a decade
  16. I would take Whitfield, not Grundy.
  17. Wines is one of my favourites to, sadly though I don't think his type is what we currently need. He is a rough inside mid. We already have plenty of these (Sylvia, Jones, Moloney, Magner, Couch, Viney). I don't think it would be worth such a high pick to replace those guys, pick 12/13 maybe but definitely not pick 3 or 4.
  18. I hope we pick up Stringer and Toumpas, sounds like a better combination personally Wines has been said to be similair to Viney. We have plenty of grunt as it is so I would prefer to go with a combination of players who can bring different dynamics to the team. 3. Toumpas, 4. Stringer, 13. Garlett and 26 Viney for me. Dont bother pissing around with u17's I think.
  19. Why did GWS get the u17 to sell and GC didnt? Sounds like GWS had alot more perks then GC in terms of recruiting
  20. Essendon first with 47 weeks missed. North last with 1 week missed. I would have thought Essendon wouldn't have been as far behind as us fitness wise...
  21. Blease for Hogan
  22. So if missons sport science skills isn't meant to stop soft tissue injuries then what is he meant to be doing in terms of reducing injuries we are 2nd on the 'weeks missed from soft tissue injury' ladder with 41 weeks missed in total
  23. they savin that money for bad boy cloke!
  24. I'm looking forward to seeing him get to 270
  25. Sounds a bit like Tommy Mac
