  1. Perhaps we can get Liam Neeson to coach Watts over pre-season
  2. Nightmare on BF rates Hogan as number #5 and Martin as #4 from the 2013 draft crop. 1. Thomas Boyd (VIC - KPF) 2. James Aish (SA - MID) 3. Luke McDonald (VIC - UTIL – NM F/S) – Minidraft eligible but likely will choose not to enter due to F/S. 4. Jack Martin (WA - UTIL) – Minidraft eligible 5. Jesse Hogan (WA - KPF) – Minidraft eligible 6. Matt Crouch (VIC - MID) – Minidraft eligible 7. Josh Kelly (VIC - MID) – Minidraft eligible 8. Jack Billings (VIC - FWD) 9. Matt Scharenberg (SA – MID/DEF) 10.James Tsitas (VIC – Mid)
  3. Something you are not factoring in is that many of these players consider their futures beyond AFL when in negotiations. Many players have bad habits they need to sustain or expensive lifestyles etc. which results in money being much more important than success, especially if they have already had some success. These guys only get maybe one good chance in their careers to really up the ante and get a big contract to earn the money to set themselves up for the rest of their lives. So an extra 100k a year over 4 years is a big difference to them. 400k> repeated success for some players. Especially if they have no other skillsets to provide them with work beyond footy.
  4. Damnit, was hoping he stayed above pick #13 so it would push a better player to us
  5. Dont think that Neeld has that long to invest in 2 17yr olds. Tonatopia would have a field day if the MFC did that.
  6. Yeah I was down there and he passed me some "panadol" in the club to help with the pain when he accidentally hurt my head. Nice guy. Shame he didn't make the 22
  7. Cool story? I want to know how people rate Stringer compared to Hogan. Is Stringer capable of being a KPF like Hogan?
  8. We cant be scared to draft and develop forever. It is the key to a successful club at the end of the day. If we constantly farm off other teams talents then the source will eventually run dry
  9. Issue with pick 13 is that their are alot of good players on the table in the draft at that point still. Would be a shame to see it go for Caddy
  10. Touche. Used the wrong word. That said no need to be hater of the messenger. Just passing on something I read.
  11. Sloonie ridiculed me for coming up with it. And why not pass it on? Gosh, really got some haters in here. I ain't forcing you to read it. I am sure something nightmare suggests would have much more merit then any scenarios you may have suggested.
  12. Sorry typo. Trying to post in between things at work. Your right, F/S is before, which is why i was arguing it would be hard to facilitate prior to F/S bidding. I think pick 13 will ultimately be our trump card in a trade
  13. Nope. I think his trade value would be 5-10 personally. Anyone paying more would be cray
  14. Yes i understand that, though F/S is after trade period so it would be quite difficult to facilitate trades prior to F/S period under the table. Especially when the teams he suggested 'Adelaide/Collingwood' are playing finals footy. Though reading your post does raise the issue that the Bulldogs could do the same as insert the clause that GC do bid on Viney :/
  15. http://www.bigfooty....-player.973206/ Knightmare said: ↑ "While Tyson has played limited games he is still every bit worth a top 5 selection and will still develop into an excellent player and Richmond are right identifying him as a worthwhile talent. Richmond might have to manufacture a trade for Melbourne's pick 4 with an established player if they want any shot at Tyson. In Richmond's situation to do this I'd be looking to move Vickery (hoping Melbourne view him as a key forward) along with pick 9 and likely some later draft pick upgrades to move Melbourne up some more selections later in the draft to make it a more equitable trade. Pick 9 might net Melbourne Josh Caddy getting Melbourne Caddy + Vickery for pick 4 which I expect with Neeld voicing an interest in adding established players would be an intriguing possibility."
  16. Read what I said, 'it was rumored' Don't hate the messenger. Was in reference to Richmond getting a solid pick for Tyson.
  17. How could action be possibly be taken before F/S bidding? You harp on about the rules however you seem oblivious to the rule that you cant trade players before F/S. So what possible action is possible here...
  18. The fact that he isn't proposing a trade makes it less credible? He is arguing to do favors for other clubs and shutting down other posts though is unable to provide any examples/scenarios
  19. Apparently GWS have already demanded both picks 5 & 6 for MD1 which the Bulldogs rejected. They are both holding firm. Brisbane are in the box seat for Tippet as they have pick #8 which would be a perfect fit. GC are going to somehow find value in Caddy + miscellaneous picks and players they can muster together in an attempt to get Tippet though I don't like their chances. Richmond also rumored to be contemplating picks #9 with Vickery in an attempt to score one of our picks. So we could end up using pick #4 for Vickery and pick #9 (Caddy) This would work well for us i think as it would mean GC are on our terms and Viney to 2nd round Would result in a draft pool of - Pick 3, Vickery, Caddy, Pick 13, Viney 4 Mids and a new tall up forward...or Hogan, Vickery, Caddy, Mid (Pick 13), and Viney
  20. Thank you, at least everyone here isn't as daft as Rassilon and can see the logic behind it.
  21. The rule that you help people and that they ll help you back? Unfortunately those rules don't apply in competition. If they did then everyone would just hold hands and have sing-a-longs and it would be a very dull game. Competition is about taking any advantage you can get. Please stop trolling and making statements that you cant even apply scenarios or examples for and then trying to evade the questions that you can't answer with ignorant statements
  22. So simple not even you can provide logical reasoning behind it or realistic scenarios eh
  23. Rules have changed, he would need to go into the ND first and would probably be drafted between pick 20 - 30
  24. Use my imagination? So you talk all this crap and then you cant even provide a realistic scenario? How would us making a deal with Adelaide push Tippets value up unless we were actually prepared to use pick #4 for him. You are just trolling now, you have no idea what you are talking about. You are talking about helping other teams out for no reason. Thats the dumbest logic I have read in a long time. Hey while we are at it lets just give GWS our pick #3 for one of their rejects, and send Vlad a free gym membership. Lets also give Gysberts to Geelong as by helping them this will definitely let us take Viney with a 2nd rounder. =
