WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES
olisik replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
All these signings must be making some players are MFC nervous. I hope we retain Garland to play as our 3rd tall forward. -

Its only 1 week into a 3 week trade period. Will we go quiet? -

I disagree actually. The same feel was on DL this time last year when we landed Clark and drafted Taggart and Magner, got a new coach ect. Added Misson Craig and so on. I need to see the action on-field before I will be satisfied. If people want to start getting happy and excited about making a few trades then go for it but personally I wont be until we get some wins on the board. -

When we do better then 16th then I will. I think our performance over the past 5 years warrants some skepticism and not just all blind faith.... I apologize if you don't agree -

Would mean 3 first rounders used on talls. 0 on mids in a midfield superdraft.... -

Give it to Dunn and tell him to kick it over everyone in the midfields head to a tall roaming half forward? -

I do not understand this emphasize on trading for talls. Why are we not in the running for Clinton Young? Our midfield was atrocious last year and at the moment I cant see that much is being done to change that. -

20 for Dawes and 45 for Fay is enough. Why are we including Martin in this lop sided deal? He is the most damaging of those 3 players... -

oh ffs, why is the MFC trading away all its picks. We need to be selling players!! not picks!! we need those in this superdraft for mids! -

Dustin Martin was also at the draft combine wasn't he? Do you think we sat him down for a chat? And yes please add me to ignore as it will stop your constant quoting me with smart@$$ replies -
I think GWS wanted pick 3 purely for marketing. 1 2 3 looks alot better in all the papers then 1 , 2 , 4

Good old BP that rascal, his got us again.
-
Maybe Vlastuin was just trying to sound cool to his mates...and didn't say a thing?
-
No wonder Carlton did so sh$t this year with BP as their opposition analyst. Was probably telling Ratten that we would be playing Cook at CHF and that Eddie Bettes should play on him.
-
Jack Darling says hi
-
His already proved us wrong. We drafted him expecting him to be a KPP....how wrong we were...
-
He isn't even delisted yet....talk about jumping the gun here by his manager.

Then the Hogan comes along and it will be off to Casey for someone. These boys will need space to run into. -
Hope we hang onto Cale, with a full pre-season it could be hit time to bloom. Saw a few promising things from him last year. I think he copped the full brunt of Bailey's easy coaching which has resulted in his lack of development.
-
Neeld should draft this Vlastuin kid and make him pay for that comment on the training track. I'm sure he ll come through after enough punishment.

Suprised no one here has mentioned Josh Simpson. He seems to have really slipped under the rader on DL and it expected to go slightly prior to 20. That said he could also slip as if he went under the radar at DL perhaps his gone under the radar of recruiters Josh Simpson (WA – Mid/Fwd) Height: 183cm, Weight: 72kg, DOB: 09/02/1994 Recruited from: East Fremantle Style: Daniel Wells Player comparison: Range: 15-50 Profile: Simpson has been one of the more interesting prospects over the past few years moving from WA to SA in 2011 to make the state squad then back to WA this season. Simpson has great acceleration and on a wing can do some damage. Gets through traffic easily. Generally good ball user by both hand and foot and by foot is duel sided. Still has a very lean build and I expect him to always be more of an outside player but I have been encouraged in the past with his attack on the ball and on the man despite his lean build. Has talent and while I think he will be rated very differently from club to club I expect a few clubs to be very keen to get someone with his talents on their list.

Add me on ignore already like you said you would, you quoting every post i make with unconstructive replies is annoying the fu#k outta me. You take things too literally too often
-
I also think taking Barry will be putting pressure on Jetta's place on our list.
-
Hate to say it but he isn't AFL standard. Its as simple as that I think. Feel bad saying it after reading about 10 fluff pieces about the guy but he will never be an A grade mid and thats what we need.
