If we cant learn to draft and develop on our own then what hope do we have? Constantly rely on AFL handouts in picks and then trade them for players other teams develop?

We have Tyson who struggles with a tag and a bunch of draftees who cant get double digits in posession counts. Wouldnt say it was an overwhelming draft last year. Tyson is a bandaid solution when compared to Josh Kelly and now we are looking at doing it again. Our past draft failures were a result of BP targetting the wrong type and the game changing. If we cant learn how to draft well and develop then we may as well fold now.

So lets give up on the draft because of BP and go for bandaid solutions forever. Its about time we fixed things from the ground up and not keep trading for run of the mill hardworking mids.

My feeling is that Chris does not like being between the ball with a defender bearing down on him. By him running towards the goal it would always allow him the easy option of not having to go back against the flight of the ball and will allow him to run into an easy goal. He needs to man up and lead properly and take the full grunt of the defender like most forwards do.

We should make a play for Ollie if we get top picks.

Trengove Toumpas Grimes Watts Howe Garland Tmac Kent should all be traded. The other 12 delisted and replaced with FA rookies drafts VFL players whatever we can do. Biggest turn over the better.

With this Draft Petracca, Brayshaw pick 4 and 7 and Kent for Cameron. Pick 11 and 14 for 2 more mids.

Pick 1 (PP), pick 3, pick 4 (Frawley), pick 7 (Watts and our 2nd rounder to Carlton), pick 14 and 29(Toumpas and Trengove to Port), Pick 11 (Grimes and pick 29 to Richmond). Gives us picks 1 3 4 7 11 and 14.

We should have pick 1 (PP), 3 and 4 (Frawley) this year. Draft Petracca, Brayshaw and trade pick 4 and our 2nd rounder for another decent mid from the Bullies. Bring in Stretch, Jurrah and trade out some other plodders for 2nd round picks and we may be able to turn over half of our best 22.
