I don't know either......Toumpas appears similar to Scully(who will be a good player)...small reasonablly quick outside player where as Wines appears more like a Dustin Martin type....bull at a gate gets his own footy probablly not as quick as Toumpas but will get more possessions......

I have been a member of the MFC for the past 50 years so the school holidays comment is immature and banal. I played this game at the 2nd highest level and even coached my own sides.My opinion is different to yours....I hate people bagging there own players from the safety of their keyboards...you seem to have no problem with it...so be it.......Some players will make it, some won't but I won't stoop to bagging......Will leave it there...

Thats the crux of my arguement.....Who are you to critisize....I take it you know Col personally and know his moods, pressures personal situation intimately.....Much easier to sit at your keyboard and have players come up to your expectations or they are damed for all time....

I find it funny that people that do these mock drafts get so much credence.....Lets face it the draft is a lottery...... All they have seen is 17-18 year olds playing against each other....in the TAC or State Champs....a big bloke in those comps can dominate and show lots of skillls or the little blokes can show speed and agility But the problem lies is can they do the same against fully professional battle hardened AFL players??? As an example, can Grundy use his size and strenght against Jolly, Sandilands ect....How many years until he can??? Can Toumpas or Wines or Whitfield play up to the likes of Judd,Beams, ect....?? How many years will it take Patton (#1) Coniglio(#2) to make a mark on the competition(May be a bit harder/easier playing for GWS) We all get excited by players bios and stats but how many of the top 20 in this years draft won't make it ....a few I reckon... Don't get me wrong the kids have to start somewhere and you can only be as good as the competition you face....I just reckon we over rate a lot of these kids....

I agree with a lot you have said.......But comparing Woey to Col is like comparing apples to oranges.......Col.....#3 Woey.... mature age pick in the PS draft Col ......a star in the TAC cup Woey....Fair player in the WAFL Shane had enormous belief in himself and enormous desire to make it...where Col expected it to just come natually I really believe Col will be the player we all want him to become......Posters are getting into him now because he is in the re hab group.......I would think that this is not his fault and he has had injuries in the pre seasons for the past 3 years....which can and does affect your season.....Just hate the bagging a lot of our players get on here.....

Am just wondering how long it will be before certain posters get stuck into Viney/Wines/Toumas/Trengove(some have already started) when they have some down games and don't live up to the star expectations....I really hate the bagging some players get on DL.....Some won't make it....some will be great players.....but they are all trying....they actually want to be AFL players... We are all football 'experts'..... we all view players differently......but we have no idea of players state of mind at any time of day..... Players are human....there have worries, personal problems, the same as us....So to say a certain player needs to pull his finger out is ignorant and unfair I would love to see some posters see how they would go trying to get a game in the AFL envioment.....every move or decision you make is subject to public opinion....

Well, throw me back to the fifties.......You're right......I do not care who wears the #31 next year......It puts expectations (unfairly) on the player.......The last player to wear it was a beauty,wasn't he???? I love Barass but he went to Carlton in 1965....What No did Ivow Warne-Smith wear???/ What No did Don Cordner wear???? All these so called "Important" numbers have moved on to other players who have or have not made them their own.. Time to move to the 2013's and beyond.....

If Gutnick had not come along,we would be non exitant as a club or we would be a merged club.....We took his money willingly and even though he had no idea how a footy club ran....He still deserves some credit for a spare $3 mil......No?????

4 pre seasons when his age was 17,18,19,20, With a person of a certain build, weight is not easy to put on......He is a good player for us and will get better....Unfortunatly people like you want instant sucess....just because he was no.#1 pick you want him to be a superstar in his first season.....

I think you have a selective memory.....Who else wore 31#.......The only one I can remember was Ray Groom......and why does it matter.......It's only a number.....

How old is Jack now......20 ...21......It does take time for some blokes to put on the weight without hampering the other attributes he may have.....I think all is going to plan with Jack and he will be a very good player for us.....

Was a pretty good player,great kick, good ball getter and fitted in to a pretty good side.....Don't let your love of a number blind you into bagging other players that wore it.....

Trouble is we only remember the times players stuff up.....One howler and it in the memory bank....the said player can then have five other kicks that go to advantage but you will only remember the one that he stuffed up....

I remember when I was his age.....A few beers after playing footy and cricket.......Sometimes you just can't put old heads on young shoulders....It's so easy for us supporters to judge young players with out "knowing them"......"They should work harder....They should do this, they should do that........Some times it takes a while for the penny to drop,before they know what they really want.....

I take it by your ignorant statement that you have not been to a game there????I'm not quite 65 but I really enjoy going to the footy at Casey.....They have pretty good facilities and there is a great FAMILY atmosphere.......Lots of kids kicking the footy at half time and after the game.....I played against the old Springvale sides and it is a change from the ultra professionalism of the AFL....even though there are a lot of afl players playing.......The MFC should be targeting any supporters that they can....
