  1. That's hysterical! I've always wanted to do that.. run past the coaches box holding up a sign with my own little coaching tactic like "TELL BUCKLEY TO STOP PLAYING ON" or "PLAY BELL IN THE MIDFIELD" but I guess they know what they want to do and what they want the players to do.. With regards to point kick-ins, I only trust Wheels and Wheatley with the task at the moment. I can't even remember if Rivers is any good at them?
  2. Disappointed to see Dunn lose his cool and make some costly mistakes. To be reported twice in such a short time is pretty bloody dumb. Also JMac's disposal today was atrocious. For the most experienced player on the ground today, to see him kick the ball straight to a Roos player was a disgrace.
  3. That's when I stood up and left. My feet were blue, the score was grim and Simon Buckley showed us once again that, contrary to his own firm belief that he is the fastest man in football and can take everyone on, HE GETS CAUGHT 9 TIMES OUT OF TEN.
  4. I really like the idea of paying for the add-on extras (scarf, tie, etc), as I thought that this year was an absolute shamble - sending out packages with pen, stickers and membership card BEFORE payment. And then once I paid up I got the exact same package again! So now I have two membership cards, two packets of stickers, and two of those cool flag pens. I'm literally shaking my head at the sheer stupidity of that.
  5. I will always try and defend Holland, even though I know the sun is setting on him - just love his endeavour and go-hard attitude. Same goes for Carroll, for really no reason at all. And also Bell who I have always had a soft spot for. This is so juvenile, but I used to really dislike Green for the very stupid reason that he was rude to me when I was younger at an Aftermatch function. But now that I am older and wiser ( ), I can see what a valuable player he really is, and he'd certainly be one of my favourites now. I find it hard to give Robbo credit even when or where it is due, just because I see him as a selfish player who is constantly trying to take Mark of the Year or kick Goal of the Year, instead of going for the option that better benefits the team. But off the field, I love him.
  6. His first quarter really was awesome and exciting, and I was thinking maybe he feels comfortable and right at home here in WA and he's going to have a blinder of a game and send Yze_Magic into a state of complete ecstacy. And then... Let him get into it and find his way. I think he's been talked up too much too early and this may be why you're forgetting that HE IS ONLY 18! And super skinny too! Same with Wonaemirri - let him get into it. That was probably Aussie's first game at Subi (??) and from my understanding, it's not the easiest ground to play on. Let them get into it. It's their first season for goodness sake! They're taking in so much every game, playing against different teams, in different grounds and environments/climates, and using unique game plans. Massssssive load of information to be consuming and applying.
  7. Can anyone give more information on the performances of my two favourites, Carroll and Holland? Also interesting to see that JMac was the emergency that flew over to Perth as Yze and White both played.. not that smart to put him on a long flight given he's recovering from groin injury, as someone (Jaded?) mentioned elsewhere.
  8. And he says he doesn't like personal attacks..
  9. I work in Chapel Street and the increase in the amount of people I see wearing Melbourne scarves since our win against Brisbane is amazing!
  10. Oh goodness, are you serious? Someone needs to get down there and straighten them out.
  11. So if it was in the week leading up to the Brisbane game, why did he get to play against Brisbane? I thought he played alright in that game anyway!
  12. Just watched the replay and the expression of Jim Stynes' face in the last few minutes of the game is actually priceless. The fact that he was sitting amongst the supporters instead of in some special corporate chairman's box is one thing, but to see him there standing up and barracking for his club the way he did is really special.
  13. Can't wait for the replay on Foxtel. I'm just gonna sit there and watch it over and over and over and over.. The whole of the MCC were on their feet screaming and clapping. Truly an awesome moment.
  14. I didn't know where else to write this, but I really feel like Bailey is over-rotating the players off the interchange bench. Plenty of times I saw guys on the ground for a few minutes then they came running off the ground at full pace then stayed on the bench for a minute and went back on. And I also frequently saw players, such as Jones, running full pace across the ground to the bench only to be told they weren't allowed to come off yet. Just seems to me like they'd find it hard to sorta get into the game if they're being taken off and on so often..?
  15. Damn! Why didn't I think of that? What time was it on? It wasn't live on Foxtel was it?
  16. I agree wholeheartedly. If Jamar doesn't even back himself (ie. handballs it off whenever he can.. lost count of how many times he did this today), how can we be expected to back him? Yes he was great in the ruck but with kicking, sheparding, etc.. . I simply do not trust him with the ball. We are building for the future and I just cannot see that Mark Jamar is there.
  17. Ha! Meesen is really shaping up to be a big fat waste. Pretty lame comment about Carroll as I'm no further as to understanding what he did wrong/right?? As for Newton, there is nobody that deserves to be dropped from our forward line after today's game. It's looking the goods ATM. And a few good games do not make a good player. Make him really fight for a spot.
  18. It is 100% a sure thing that Brad Green will NOT miss out on the leadership group next year. How anyone can put Brock before Green for captain is beyond me (I'm not bagging you guys, I just genuinely cannot comprehend it ESPECIALLY after today).
  19. Agree with yours, paddo. Out with the old and in with the new. I'd also like Moloney in there too.
  20. Would not pick Miller just yet.. but one day soon I hope.
  21. What... for sexiest? 'Cos I completely agree. And I'm not kidding.
  22. Not 100% sure but I think he does have a son who is at St. Kevin's with Tony Liberatore's son.
