  1. Pick 1 and Darling for Pick 6 and JVR. Go big on King next year. Have plenty of Cap space. Good chance Curtain will be available for them at P6.
  2. I guess that would mean only 3 names, JVR, McVee and Rivers. Who would you put forward?
  3. David King believes we will get P1. While the Kangaroos are seen as West Coast’s best suitor for Pick 1, rival clubs also believe Melbourne remains extremely keen on getting higher up the draft order — either for Reid at Pick 1, or Zane Duursma or Nick Watson in the selections afterwards. The Demons hold Picks 6 and 11, their own future first-round selection and two future second-rounders. Dual premiership Kangaroo David King believes the Dees – who tried to trade up the draft order last year – are still in the mix for Pick 1. “I think Melbourne will find a way to sweeten and get it done with the picks they’ve got,” King told Fox Footy’s Trading Day. “That and maybe something else next year – maybe a future first-rounder – to get it done because they’re in the hit zone right now and North Melbourne need volume. I don’t see the thirst to get rid of too many picks … I don’t see why they’d be wanting to move too many of them on.”
  4. Isn't Mackie their list manager. Another complete arrogant [censored].
  5. Hope we can get him on the park.
  6. I believe Melb would only contemplate this trade if and only if: 1. They believe Petty will miss a significant amount of next season due to his foot injury. 2. They are concerned that he will miss a preseason. As a result, he won't have the required kilometres on his legs and will be unable to perform at an optimal level. 3. They are certain that he will request a move to the Crows at the end of the season with his trade value significantly reduced.
  7. Can somebody explain how we can get GWS 7 and Heynes. I have no idea how that can be played out after our trades today.
  8. If 6 and 11 and F1 doesn't interest WC maybe it might interest NM to trade P3. We can throw in a F2 instead of F1.
  9. I am assuming that Howes or Woey will be next in line for the wing. Using Hunter as a high forward is a good thought.
  10. Why are you comparing Billings with Daicos? We are not trying to pick up a Daicos. Yes Daicos has a higher MG but only by 40m. Their average MG/Disposal is exactly the same. If JB is fit and can do a preseason then he will be a good acquisition. His 2019 form was excellent.
  11. His average pressure acts are higher than Spargo.
  12. Not sure whether that is a credible criteria. Billings value would more than likely be only a third round pick. His history is far more impressive than Mathieson. His 2019/20 seasons were AFL elite. Injuries over the past 2 years has hampered his career. If he is fit again and wanting a new start he is exactly what we need. He can play both as an inside or an outside mid.
  13. If I had a choice between Jack Billings and Mathieson I know which one I would pick.
  14. Good bump. I'm excited with what can bring to the table next year. If, and I know it's a big if, he can keep his body fit and healthy and have a big preseason he can become a vital cog in our lineup. 2023 was a breakout year for him.
  15. Sure have. They have come out of the woodwork.
  16. Well nudge you have really put it out there. I don't think it has dropped that the interested club is NM. We will know soon. Cheers good work.
  17. You are correct. We would not even think about it if there wasn't any noise coming from any of these camps. So, if this is true, why would other clubs be considering it if they thought Clarrie was ungettable? They definitely believe he is, therefore there may be some truth to it.
  18. What has happened to Jack Billings? He has only played 11 games in 2 years. I remember how good he was back in 2019 and 2020. His figures back then stack up with any elite midfielder of today, including Nick Daicos. Injuries obviously have played a part. Is he over them? He is out of contract and looking for a new home. He is a smart footballer with good disposal skills and he is not soft. He would not be expensive and would add depth to our midfield. The question is - is he over his injuries.
  19. The only way we would be consider trading Petty would be if we believe his foot is cooked.
  20. He would be the youngest on their list.
  21. The key here is to get a preseason into him. If he is not on the training track by Christmas then I believe he will struggle next year. He did it on Aug 6 so it's been only 2 months.
  22. Maybe it could also mean a big name Melbourne player could be put up for a trade as part of a huge deal.
  23. Oliver on the move? No intel.
  24. You can throw in Sanders in that mix. He may be a more realistic get than your latter two. That said, I am assuming that NM won't get access to him. He is a JHF clone.
